the likes of kessler have done ok,as had calzaghe and hatton and witter and abraham ... to be respected in america you have to fight in america but to be respected internationally you just have to be good at what you do and fight good competition.america and international are two totally separate things mate.

Hatton will maul him. Hatton gave PBF a bloody good fight and PBF adaptability, stamina and accuracy prevailed. Paulie cant KO Hatton and he will be brutalised.

america is international in terms of boxing.

kessler and calzaghe weere fortunate to be in the same division and top of their league - but this is also why witter isn't taken seriously overseas. the same would be said of hatton if he didn't break away.

so hatton beating tszyu didnt propel him into international fame?
witter beating harris hasnt made the avid boxing fan look and say wow, this boy is very good, just because america doesnt recognise a fighter means one thing, they won't get big paydays there.its reversible also, look at someone like chad dawson, very well recognised in the US and touted as the next lhw ruler yet if you go outside america he isnt very well repsected internationally after his last performance, same could be said for paulie.

Paulie has the style to give Hatton fits. Paulie is has underrated toughness and it wouldn't be an easy fight for Ricky.

true but paulie and chad fight on the big stage.

hatton left warren after tszyu because warren's always milked his fighters and hatton knew that.

could you realyl see hatton getting to floyd under warren?

witter never made that jump and so, like calzaghe for a long time (jones and hopkins when it really mattered), he has always been a low reward fighter. witter doesnt have kessler to make his name which is why he still isn't known overseas.

Cause I dont think Paulie could keep huggy bear off him, he doesnt have authoritative punches

I agree. It's not like Hatton dominates fighters with good movement, and Paulie went 12 hard rounds with Cotto so I don't think Hatton would be a huge problem for him. I agree 50/50.

Not that I disagree completely with you greengloves, but look at how much coming here did for the young careers of Duddy and Andy Lee. They are big names already over here.

To be honest it wasn't really a robbery. It wasn't like Herman was domininating Paulie in the fight. It was a close fight. Calling this fight a robbery is like calling Pacman vs Marquez a robbery. It was a close fight that could of gone either way and was also Paulie worst performance in his career but you got to give Herman credit that he fought a good fight but Herman isn't the real IBF champion.

i certainly agree with you on certain aspects but i was talking more about the UK rather than ireland, the UK has such a market that a boxer from here can gain international fame without ever having to travel.

im 100% certain that without the US that duddy wouldnt have a boxing career at the minute as it was only on eddie mcloughlin's offer did he seriously attempt a career pro boxing, same as collins, dunne, moore

I respect your opinion and it could go the way you predict it might go but I think you under rate Paulie speed and counterpunching ability. I think some people(Die hard Hatton fans or Die hard Paulie haters) over rate Hatton by saying he'll have a easy time with Paulie when he has time with all pure boxers he faced. I think Hatton should be the favorite but I wouldn't be shocked if Hatton lose to Paulie.

Before Hatton lost, I would pick Hatton to beat Malignaggi without thinking twice, but now, it could be more of a toss up fight. First, we will have to see how Hatton reacts to coming off of his first loss.
