McCallum through the jab to the body like none other. He would double it up or sometimes triple it up downstairs. My favorite was the quick jab to body followed by the quick jab to the head. Even Hearns started to do it after watching the body snatcher slow guys down with it. I'm a Floyd fan, but we have to be real! *side note: Haglar ducked the hell out they guy by the way. I like Haglar but he talks to much about this generation being soft, but he didn't take that bodysnatcher of Spinks challenge. So comparing Haglar to GGG doesn't bother me that much :bart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS0Boow5mzo
Mayweather is more recent so naturally people will talk about him. He's an active fighter (or will be when he returns) and has a brilliant jab to the body. It's not like anyone (with half a brain) says Floyd invented it. It's probably been around since the beginning of boxing. Hell, Ali is the most famous fighter ever and he had a nice jab to the body. He didn't go to the body much, but when he did, it was usually with the jab. Did Hagler and McCallum ever have any serious negotiations? They were competing at different weight classes. McCallum was a mandatory for Duran, but Duran fought Hearns instead for the big money. McCallum was angry at Steward for putting Hearns in there with Duran since Mike was Duran's mandatory, and took his anger out later on another Kronk fighter in McCrory.
Hagler never dodged McCallum that's complete bull****. Leonard and Hearns ducked him but McCallum was never discussed as a possible opponent for hagler. Never.
it's like the shoulderroll being talked about like Floyd got a copyright on that. There are a couple of posters here that pull a MVC!/El chicano claiming records and accomlishments that just aren't there and/or completely arbritrary.
