First of all he should have never fought Judah right after losing to Baldomir.
Then he fought Baldomir instead of Margarito when that fight would do much more for his legacy.
Hatton, everyone who knows boxing knows Hatton had no chance of winning. 0%! Britts might have thought he has a chance but thats it.
Oscar was a good win over an over the hill fighter. However if anyone impressed there it was Oscar not PBF. Also anyone who knew about boxing should have known PBF was going to win this one. Im an Oscar fan but i know he was in over his head.

Why didnt he fight Margarito instead of Baldomir?
Mosley instead of Oscar? Well that one i guess is Oscars fault.
    Cotto instead of Judah.
Wasnt Clottey calling out Mayweather back then too?
    I believe PW was too.

YOu cant honestly say that PBF is the great champion without having faced the legit threats around his weight class. He always took on the most appealing fighters that proved to be the lesser risk.

He didn't cut to 150. Why would he gain weight?

The only one that was really justified here is Margarito. You can argue that one. Mayweather took an easier fight in Baldomir, for the same pay, a more prestigious belt (Ring and WBC vs. WBO), and away from Arum. Most guys would've done the same, but Margarito is nevertheless a considerably better fighter than Baldomir.

Top Rank and Arum weren't gonna put Cotto in there with Mayweather in 2006.

Who cares if Clottey was "calling out" Mayweather? Everyone calls out the big (or big by boxing terms) names. Williams really made his name as a top contender when he beat Margarito in July 2007, after Mayweather had already signed to fight Hatton.

Margo was an unknown WBO paper champ and Baldo was the recognized champ

    Good guess

Cotto was fighting at 140 when Maywether fought Judah, and they were both being promoted by Arum. Why the hell would Arum have Cotto come up to fight Floyd at 147 in a non title bout?

Clottey was a no name back then. Clottey actually fought on ESPN as a late replacement in July of 2007, and was Zab's sparring partner. Now why the hell would anyone be interested in that fight back then?

Paul Williams was a green prospect back then. He actually fought on the undercard of Mayweather/Judah. He had fought no one of note as of yet. Again, why would anyone be interested in Mayweather fighting an unknown prospect?

Floyd took on plenty of legit threats. However, when you dominate your opponents like Floyd did, the opponents quickly get dismissed. In all honesty, Margo was the only credible fighter that Floyd could've fought at 147 that he didn't fight.

Just because you eat a meal doesn't mean that you'll gain weight. You burn calories by walking, laughing, doing many things. You can bet he also did some light workouts after the weigh in. In addition, your body is like a thermostat. Say Floyd had been at 150 for a few weeks or so. When he takes in calories, his metabolism will speed up in order to maintain the weight the body had been at. The opposite would hold true if he burned calories, his matabolism would slow down.

    ALL THOSE ARE EASY DUMBASS

HE FOUGHT BALDOMIR CUZ BALDOMIR HAD THE WBC BELT AND FLOYD WAS LOYAL TO THE WBC BELT

HE ASKED FOR MOSLEY BUT MOSLEY SAID HE WOULDNT FIGHT FLOYD AFTER HE KNOCKED OUT VARGAS CUZ MOSLEY SAID HE NEEDED A VACATION AND TO GO TO THE DENTIST SO FLOYD FOUGHT BALDOMIR INSTEAD

COTTO WAS STILL AT 140LBS WHEN FLOYD FOUGHT JUDAH...COTTO WASNT ATTEMPTING TO **** WITH FLOYD WHEN FLOYD FOUGHT JUDAH...HE WAS BUSY RACKING UP VICTORIES AGAINST 140LB FIGHTERS WHILE FLOYD WAS AT 147LBS

CLOTTEY...BEFORE DEC 2006 WHEN CLOTTEY SHOWED HE WAS A TOUGH FIGHTER AGAINST MARGARITO CLOTTEY OFFERED NO MONEY AND WASNT KNOWN..FLOYD STILL BEATS HIM TODAY

AND WILLIAMS---WOW WILLIAMS..WHEN FLOYD FOUGHT JUDAH, BALDOMIR, AND OSCAR WILLIAMS WAS ONLY A CONTENDER, HE HADNT BEAT MARGARITO YET AND HADNT PROVED HIMSELF FOR THE LIKES OF THE #1 LB FOR LB FIGHTER...

On the hatton weight issue. Hatton would be beaten by a lot more people than just mayweather at 147, mosly, cotto, marg, williams, the list goes on... he's just not now or ever will be at the weight, his skeleton doesnt really support the weight.

Floyd on the other hand was struggling at JWW towards the end of his time there and argubly lost to castillo, stepping down to 140 would have given hatton a masvie helping hand and made it a close fight that i have PBF win on points.

Floyd Mayweather cemented his P4P number one status precisely with those bouts and he doesn't get credit? What do you want us to say, that he's the GOAT? And two and two are four. Another lunatic!

Floyd probably could of stayed in bed all day and ate about 2000 calories and probably would of burned more than 2000 calories during that day.

Mayweather gets credit for the most part for what he did in 2006-07.

    There's always gonna be detractors.

Hell, some people even try to downplay Ray Leonard's 1979-81 run by saying "Benitez was undertrained and distracted by Ray's sister, Duran was out of shape, Hearns was overtrained, Leonard didn't want to face the smaller Pryor, etc...."

As a whole, Mayweather generally gets credit for the Judah, Baldomir, DLH, and Hatton wins.

LOL FLOYD CAN MAKE 140 EASY...IT WOULDNT HAVE HELPED RICKY IN ANYWAY...RICKY BALLOONS UP TO 180LBS AND HAS A HARDER TIME MAKING THE WEIGHT THAN FLOYD WHO WALKS AROUND AT 150-155...AND THE FIGHT WOULDA PLAYED THE SAME AT 140 OR 147...WEIGHT DIDNT MATTER IN THAT FIGHT..HATTON WAS OUTCLASSED, OUTBOXED, OUTPUNCHED...WHATEVER IT WAS FLOYD WAS JUST BETTER
