Why does Floyd need a minstrel show to promote himself?

    Wards undefeated and very skilled and fighting better competition than Floyd but is ignored

    I wonder how popular Ward would be if he acted like a thug and a punk, he'd be P4P best right now

    white media loves an out of control black man

    they put this punk on a pedestal and it makes me sick

    Not every black person acts like that but we are stuck with Floyd and Michael Vick 24/7 on ESPN

    I think it also has to do with styles more than a " black punk" prime tyson seemed like a very nice soft spoken kid but was vicious with an extremely fanpleasing style and everyone loved him.

    It's HBO for god's sake. You wanna see family friendly. Take your ass to the Oprah Winfrey Network.

    Its like a parent taking her kids to see a rated-R movie action movie and then complaining about the violence afterwards. WTF!?

    I agree with some of your comments. But, if Floyd is on any pedestal, it's because he is a boxing genius. If he was a big mouth who wasn't as gifted, he'd get no attention. The rest of that coverage is focused on drama, which the media loves.
