Sorry, you're right, I mixed it up with Prednisone mentally because they have many similar effects. It's an amine that mimics corticosteroids and also acts in incredibly similar fashion to anabolic steroids, so technically it's worse than what I was initially saying. Most definitely a potent PED with no possible endogenous source, so hardly one that can be excused.
Corticosteroids are anti-inflammatories. Clen is a bronchodilator. It’s true that lots of Mexican beef contains clen and several Mexican athletes have tested positive for it, likely for this reason, whereas Fury’s “wild boar” excuse is one of a kind.
till he pops dirty for steroids. He is just a weight cutting cheat. that fight vs josesito Lopez is almost 10 years ago. It’s possible to put on 2lbs of muscle per year if your in your prime & dedicated.
Nandrolone has a short half life of a few days so no surprises he passed the tests. He was found with heightened unnatural quantities of nandrolone in his system. The boar meat claim is just frankly ridiculous on so many levels.
Because saying he cheated against Wlad ruins the narrative and plays into negative stereotypes about gypsies. Because saying he didn't demand a test of his B-Sample because a second positive would've forced a ban and removal of his license ... ruins the story that he left boxing because he was "depressed." Because people feel sorry for a depressed person because people have friends or have relatives who are, so they get all defensive. Most people don't have friends who are pro athletes who are drug cheats who get hit with a two-year ban, and so they tend not to defend those people. Because saying you returned after what would've been a two-year ban had elapsed so you could reapply for your license and not have the ban go on your record at all ... ruins the story of a depressed guy who overcame his "demons." (LOL) Because saying you partied for two years with the money you made cheating in your title fight ... doesn't sound as good as I overcame my mental illness with prayer and exercise. Because there are books to sell, and contracts to sign, and deals to be made. Can't have PED bans getting in the way of all that. That's sort of why. That, plus Canelo and his Mexican fans don't care what he does. (LOL)
Yeah, I love this excuse. That they acted incompetently and impotently somehow should exonerate Fury? If anything it only makes them look corrupt. If Canelo got a backdated ban that he didn't have to serve one minute of, it would only be taken as proof that the doping agencies are in his pocket. But for Fury it's somehow seen as evidence that he's clean. Ffs.
Because Alvarez is being continuously chased by the largest mentally incapable fanboy group the sport has ever seen. A group that was carefully harvested from the gutters of social media by a very careful marketing team. The Gennady "The Tomato Can Devourer" Golovkin's fanbase.
