On his flaw's when he is still improving and Khan gets slaughtered for his?

Khan also has a lot more time to improve his deficencys than Gamboa being 5 years younger.

    :huh

I repeatedly said before last night that Gamboa was too easy to hit and that anyone saying he was on a par with PBF for potential was wrong.
Everyone was going mad over Gamboa and he is clearly a great talent, but he was being tagged by total journeymen and does not move his head. Only against Mayo did he look defensively sound, in all the other fights I watched he was wide open and there for the counter.

People saying he was on the road to being better than PBF were mad.

I wouldn't count him out just yet. The guy has had what? ten fight? Remember he has got in the ringover 400 times as an amatuer. It takes a while to get used to.

Yes he has his flaws, and is not a complete boxer by any means, but I still feel he has the potential to go on and beat anybody around the 126-135 area over the next 3 years given he acclimitises well enough to the pro's.

Gamboa is a quality fighter, he would destroy Khan, just because he got dropped doesn't mean anything, he got dropped from an ok puncher. Wheras khan got dropped from a feather fisted puncher, and amir wasn't impressive in his fight against limmond, i've not seen gamboa's latest fight but from what i've heard it was a quality performance with minor blips.

I am in no way counting him out. I think he will go on to be a very very good boxer.

But it smacks of double standards that when Khan has a blip that he is nothing and will get KTFO by any punchers and Gamboa just had a problem and it means nothing.

I think they will both achive a great deal.

Khan broke limonds jaw, eye socket and basically beat the crap out of him in the round before he got pulled out.

That is impressive in my book.

both are still crude yojng prospects but I see more promise in Gamboa.

i say there different as Gamboa is a comeforward puncher, while Khan style lends him to be a better back foot boxer. Gamboa seems to be hitting harder.

both are rough around the edges but Khan has shown more weaknesses, a quick, slick boxer shouldnt be getting hit and hurt by the level of fighters he has been fighting. Aggressive fighters leave themselves more open so when Gamboa gets hit we can excuse it as being young and rough around the edges, something he can tighten up as he goes along. If he was trying to be the quick boxer role I would pick up on his defensive relapses.

As it stands, Gamboa looks the mutts nuts!:deal

The difference levels in abuse each get by people who appeat to know what they are talking about is frankly insane.

Gamboa is a man 26 years old, as fast and strong as he ever will be and when he show's problems, no problem damn.

When Khan show's issues at 21 he is nothing but a hype job.

    It is bull**** ,

if khan wants to prove all his doubters wrong then all he has to do is step up to the plate, fight someone who is good, don't go looking for fights against rees and gomez, why don't he fight the europeon champion, ramonov i think it is. or even take a fight with thaxton, who i think he would beat but still isn't taking it because he could hurt khan.

It is a double standard. Don't give me this step up **** about Khan, you same bitches were calling him out before he stepped in a pro ring and have talking **** about him ever since.

He can't win with you until he get's KTFO, so you idiots can say "told ya so".

It's the same with the Floyd haters, nothing he does will satisfy, they just will find the next thing to hate on.
