Why does Germany steal boxers (and then make them change their names)?

OK, so we have already established Canada is the the ATG boxing thief. Nobody is arguing that point. However, Germany isn't far behind and - even if they are not as prevalent boxing tea leafs - there is an aspect to the Kraut pugilist etiquette that may be even more reprehensible... Germany not only steals boxers but they make them change their names.

Boxing fans... do you recognise these fighters?

    Muamer Hukić
    Avetik Abrahamyan
    Adnan Catic
    Volodymyrovych Klychko
    Vitaliy Klychko
    Sergey Stieglitz

    No, didn't think so...

the change of name is to help them become marketable to the german people, kinda like actors change their name to be better remembered

I don't see how they are thieves. It's not like they claim the Klits are German.

It's true in the sense they don't 'claim' foreign fighters as much as the Canadians but they do make them change their names. Does America or Britain do this? Off the top of my head (insert ownage here), I can't think of any...

I don't think the German people made them change their names, they done it of their own volition, for marketability reasons. But you know this already.

Germany has the best promoters events coaches and stadiums, why wouldnt any fighter from Europe flock there boxing is huge in Germany

and Britain and the US also steal fighters, Japan has stolen fighters

boxers will flock to where the money and opportunity is
