Why does GGG ducking Ward mean that he shouldn't fight Alvarez?

As a Canelo fan I'm for both fight's, based off history I see no reason to not take him at his word. Dude has said he has no problems fighting GGG, so until the Cotto fight is over I don't see how anybody can claim this ducking talk?

As far as weight GGG said he can get down to 154, Alvarez has said 155 and its a go, GGG has backed himself into a corner if he wants a big fight he should take it. Only real reason not to is because he knows it'll be a loss.

gggs ducking of ward doesnt mean he shouldnt fight alvarez.....

it just means hes prob going to have to accept a cw below 160 to fight canelo(should he win tonight)....its prob going to be 155....hes just going to have to accept that as a reality

the main problem i have with ggg ducking ward is that he needs to understand that cotto doesnt need to fight him....and canelo prob doesnt really have to either.........ggg needs to stop waiting and thinking hes owed a fight...he needs to go get one.....but i think the reality is ggg and k2 are happy sitting around waiting and collecting checks for fighting no hopers on hbo.....and acting like its a shame a couple of welter/jr middles dont wanna fight him

    You don't see talent?

First of all, the guy is an Olympic medalist. His amateur pedigree alone shows how much talent he has.

Secondly, the kid can box and punch. He showed amazing boxing skills in his last fight and did exactly what he had to do.

Has any other opponent done what GGG did to Lemiuex?

GGG made it look easy. I think Lemiuex has the ability to beat any other fighter at 160. I don't think there is anyone that has GGG's combination of boxing ability and power to deter Lemiuex to the point of making him impotent.

    Do you?

Don't you want to see the winner of Quillin vs Jacobs and Alvarez vs Cotto in with GGG?

Well, if that's the case, then you could say Ward ducked GGG.

    That's idiotic.

Ward shouldn't have to fight GGG at a catchweight, and GGG shouldn't have to fight Canelo at a catchweight.

GGG said Ward didnt pull in enough money to fight him, so GG obviously cares about money himself.

Of course, he cares somewhat. Why would he take the most risky fight out there against a much bigger opponent if there is no financial incentive ? He hasn't cleaned the MW division yet.

Gaining 8 pounds of muscle and then cutting them back to continue MW unification is not easy and may be damaging. For Froch and Chavez, Golovkin would take it easier, but for Ward (at least the 2011 version of him), he would need that weight to be muscle.
