Why does GGG keep calling out smaller fighters than him??

Cotto owns a title that GGG is the rightful heir to, so Cotto is on the hitlist. Canelo is probably bigger than GGG on a fight night, there is a reason he fights at a catchweight.

And Floyd...hell, who wouldn't challenge floyd. 300 + mil in sales, ANYONE within 2-3 weight classes is chasing after that check.

Close enough. Last time I saw fight night weights Alvarez was 172 and GGG was 173.

GGG isn't lying about making 154...He weighs less than Kirkland (174) and about the same as Lara and Trout (172).

He just fights at middleweight because people that size are less likely to run in fear from the matchup.

    Same reason.

GGG will bring the same or better money as Kovalev or Stevenson.

If he goes up and fights at 175, then he'll never get the GGG fight.

And the longer he stays at 168, the more likely it is that alvarez will develop into a credible middleweight, making a big money fight with Alvarez highly likely.

If Ward beats GGG, Alvarez, Stevenson, and Kovalev, he will be a massive draw. That's why he's comfortable waiting at 168. The money is at 154 and 160, slowly working its way toward him.

The saddest thing about this is that Ward, GGG, Alvarez, Froch, Lara, Kirkland, and Trout all weigh in the low 170's.

Seriously... all those guys weigh within like a 5lb range.

We need to stop saying Canelo is smaller than GGG. If Canelo is killing himself to make 154 then he's pretty much a 160 pounder.

Canelo looked like Skeletor with a ginger wig on at 155lbs. He's probably bigger than Golovkin it's he just that he drains himself like crazy to compete down at 154 (or rather the new 155lb division of his creation)

Canelo walks around at at least 175. Even Josesito Lopez walks around at 170-175. lol

Canelo looks at least 180 here to me. lol

He was also a lot larger in the amateurs, and they don't cut any weight.

He was never unofficially weighed any higher than 176. And that was against Dawson.

Ward is not a big guy for the weight.

I think Ward was 176 for the Dawson fight. That's the only recorded ring weight we have of his though and if it isn't I haven't seen any others.

Andre Ward VS Chad Dawson - Contested at Super Middleweight

    Ward: 176
    Dawson: 185

Source: During the HBO broadcast's tale of the tape

Like I said, that's the only recorded fight night weight we have of is (or I've heard of). Golovkin only weighs 167 if take his ring weight from the Proksa fight (or maybe it's the Rosado one can't remember)

When will boxing fans acknowledge "Risk vs. Reward?"

Until you do, you might as well not watch boxing as it will cause endless frustration if you are naive to the above truth.

Why do you ask a question...

When you think you know the answer..?

Truth is, $$$$$$$$$$$$$, lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Floyd and Canelo bring money to the table.

Ward seems to have retired, and on his best day could not draw any crowd or $$$$$.

    There, son.

    The Q has been A'd.

    No charge !
