Why does Hatton put more asses in seats than Haye?

Yep, you can't fault the bloke on that count. Its certainly worked for him.

 

He has fought better opposition.

 

His biggest crowd was when he fought Lazcano....

 

haye isnt as arrogant than some here believe, immensly self confident yeah but is pretty down to earth. all the interviews i have seen of him haye seems pretty cool to be honest, he doesnt have this aura of "dont cross me or you'll get bottled" like hatton. he has been running his mouth just so he can get the wlad fight. he didnt want barrett so he said nish about it.

main thing is that haye is a model with a business plan. hatton is much more organic and grassroot.

 

he didn't want Barrett? Why did he choose him as an opponent then? After all Haye has his say in Hayemaker promotions. Haye had plenty of options for that fight (Kevin Johnson, Eddie Chambers, Rahman, Toney, and a lot of others), but he chose Barrett as an opponent.

 

Because Hatton is a big name and a established champion, Haye is a very good contender and a champion.

Its simple, I'm a nationalist Irishman and never really liked Ricky in the ring, but his attitude was always top notch and every word that has come out of his mouth has been honest and humble(ok not EVERY WORD was humble but you get the jist). I have the utmost repect for Hatton as a person and competitor, theres no pretention about him what-so-ever

hes a blue collar fighter who doesn't **** about and is afraid of nothing and no-one.

Haye is the same,he is a nice guy, except he is certainly not humble, and certainly doesn't make the common casual man take an immediate shine to him. But in terms of ability hes better technically and in terms of his style hes my current favourite.

But you can't hate Ricky Hatton on a personal level if you know anything about the man.

 

Really a lot down to Frank Warren, built Ricky a strong fanbase with people going to see him on the undercards of other top fighters and then when he had a large fanbase topping the bill.

Hatton also comes across as a nice guy but I think Haye does as well so really just about the promoting of the fighter.

Also Hatton fought every 2-3 months up until the Kosta Tszyu fight and is still pretty active now so it means people didn't forget about him.

 

Hatton is more established and has accomplished more in his career. He's also been around longer. I personally like Haye better but there's only one Ricky Hatton.

Hatton puts on non-stop pressure, and is therefore more exciting. He deserves to make more money.

 

I deserve to make more money. Thats a paltry excuse. Hatton has Warren to thank and nothing else.

 

Because Haye is a fraud.

 

Because Haye has mostly fought at the pathetic cruiser weight division.
