Why does Hatton put more asses in seats than Haye?

Haye is a fake hero and fans know it. Klitschkos fights always sell out.

Hatton is a better fighter than Haye, fights better opponents. Haye will not fight a top ten heavyweight. Hell, Haye is still running from Herbie Hide!

Somebody needs to wipe Haye's mouth with toilet paper.

He is fighting Wlad you ****ing cretin. You can't have "he wont fight a top ten heavy other than the top two heavies" as a criticism you complete imbecile.

Hatton also does the old self-deprecating bit which Brits tend to like ... makes people seem more accessible.

Exactly :good This is exactly the same criticism some idiot haters level at Hatton. He takes on Tszyu, Castillo, Mayweather and Pacquiao and they come back with "well he's getting well paid for them so they don't count, he should be fighting Holt/Torres/Bradley/Witter/(insert name of some other lower ranked, middle-of-the-road junior welter who is not on the level of the above and can't draw flies)".

It's like they begrudge the guys who have the balls to get out there and chase the top fights, plus the charisma and negotiating skills to get them. Bottom line, any fiighter willing to go and lay it on the line against the top dogs in his division gets my respect. Hatton is one, Lewis was one, Clinton Woods was one (though with mixed results), Froch appears to be one, Calzaghe was one eventually. We should get behind these guys!

Some guys catch on and some guys don't, it's weird why. Floyd Mayweather couldn't draw flies with 2 hands full of **** until he fought Arturo Gatti, who always sold tickets despite being a punching bag to the stars.

I think it's a miracle Hattons got as big as he has, he's really the only guy to have become a household name since all boxing disapeared from terrestrial tv. Even Calzaghe was hardly known until he got a few fights on ITV. Perhaps if Haye could get this fight a replay on ITV or the BBC it'd improve his Q rating alot.

Because Hatton is "one of the guys"

Hatton hooked up with the king of promoting in the UK, took all the important bits and pieces and pretty much took off.
