Why does Haye care if Wlad wants a warm up fight?

But the real WBA belt holder is Wlad because he beats Chagaev. So Haye has to fight Wlad if he wants to be Champ.

 

Haye doesn't seem keen on Chagaev at all, but do we know this is true?

 

1. But the WBA's stance would be my point from number 2. Wlad could lose or get injured and the fights off. The WBA won't stop there mandatory from happening for a fight that may or may not happen.

2. Why is it unlikley. Wlad has been injured in 2 of his last 4 training camps/fights.


3. When could it be accommodated. Major Press tours usually happen at least 12 weeks out so fighters can concentrate on training.


also Haye was never given the option of July 2nd. K2 told him we want to fight Chisora. Haye said we don't want you to. K2 said fine we are fighting Chisora. They never negotiated.

Answer this. Why isn't the Wlad vs Adamek fight July 2nd? Why didn't they offer the September date to Haye??

 

yeh thats a great way of thinking and in an ideal world Wlad is the only champion but its not how it works in the real world.

Haye is a title holder at Heavyweight.

 

Only because the fight is not appealing to the fans. Haye is a PPV fighter which means his fights need to transend the sport.

Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, Cotto the PPV fighters in the US only fight names no matter what the weight the division.

Haye does not have that choice as he is at Heavy. Only names are Klitscko and Adamek since he beat Harrison and Valuev.

 

Well, I don't know all of the facts or even all of the speculation on this one. Been pretty busy the last few days. I'd just like this to be resolved because I believe both guys want this fight now but both are used to getting their own way in negotiations

The July 2nd date is there to accomodate Haye, and isn't ideal for Wlad but he is eager to get the fight signed (?)

Do i understand it well?
- Haye cannot omit Chagaev and wait untill Wlad is done with Chisora?
- Chisora as a stay busy fight for Wlad forces Haye to fight his mandatory?

 

No doubt. I just wish Haye was as willing to fight Vitali as he is to fight Wlad. It would all be so simple if that were the case...

 

If a unification takes priority over a madatory then Solis can step aside and perhaps fight the winner. We don't actually know what discussions are taking place and maybe this fight is still an option. My only fear is that if it doesn't happen now it never will. Unlike Pac - Mayweather which I don't see happening at all.

 

thats correct. and the earliest Haye can fight Chagaev is May 14th.

btw Haye vs Wlad could of happened in England May 14th but Wlad refused to come to the UK

 

No it wouldnt. Vitali is not avalible as he has to fight his mandatory Solis end of March.

 

The WBA isn't going to let Haye sit on his mandatory for 8 months when he's otherwise available when Wlad is fulfilling his (self-induced) obligation to fight Chisora.

Wlad said he'd fight Chisora AND Haye, Haye doesn't want to clear out Chagaev and then fight Klitschko, he just wants the direct fight with Wlad. Now he loses the Wlad fight, and is left with Chagaev anyway, or whoever comes out of the mix to face him next.

Haye and Chagaev last fought within a week of each other. IMO they should have already gotten together to make this fight (or duck out of it as I think Haye will do) and be clear to move on to Wlad. Instead Haye sits on his borrowed belt and now complains that Wlad isn't meeting his demands so he can avoid his mandatory.

 

now this is what hayes fans are coming with,,

he should just show chagaev vs hayes on PPV england on that date, then set up to fight wlad next, or make a try to do that. It could be in august....

I think the last time they set up a fight in england, it fell apart everywhere, maybe hayes can prove he can sell big, an put it in a big stadium with chagaev.
