Why does JMM want to fight a man he already beat?

No it wouldn't. He has to achieve victory for one of the key elements of his legacy to be complete.

I don't know, in my opinion Pacquiao would go to the top if he beat Marquez next spring, anything later than that is a worthless win. Waiting for JMM to get older is not gonna do much legacy wise.

 

A valid point. Maybe because the bar is set higher for Pacman. Another is because a lot of posters here want Pacman to lose just to shut the Pac nuthuggers here. I am a Pac fan but I also find annoying some Pac fans here who like beating his drum all the time.

Yes, all the trolling, baseless claims, and trash talk get old real fast. Sad that it has to be Pacquiao the one to lose to shut these buggers up, and even then its still a maybe.

 

but these have been discussed before.. about them not having a rematch right after. Last year, many were saying JMM is past due, that its different now. But still the match up persist. I dont think the fire of a rematch will die even if it went past next spring. A lot was saying JMM is not really battle scarred as EM and MAB, he is still relatively young imo. Im not in favor of them delaying it anymore like the rest of you, but calling it ducking is just annoying.

JMM was'nt let into the loop when it was Morales, MAB, and Hamed.

The fact that he schooled Pac after getting put on his rear three times and had his nose broken in the very 1st round...... beat MAB recently by wide scores, the only thing left for JMM is to settle the official draw on his record.....and what better way to cement his legacy than to beat a Manny Pacquiao now who is at the prime of his skills and riding high after knocking out Erik Morales twice and the boxing world having him very high on the p4p lists!

What will make it even sweeter and more fullfilling for JMM is that Pacquiao is likely to be a solid favorite in the sportsbooks, and JMM will aim to silence those critics as well!

 

Pac legacy will be securely cemented with a win over JMM.
He would have completed the cycle of beating everyone of the mini-fab four!

Victories over others would only serve to heighten his status amongst the all-time p4p greats.

.....but I've got to say that if history shows that Pac avoided JMM at a time where a rematch could have tooken place, there is going to be a gaping hole in his legacy.

Make no mistake about it, legacy wise, both these guys need eachother!

Its a pity for the fight not to be made, when its the natural choice for both to fight eachother and fight eachother now that both still mantain their skills and both are at the height of their popularity.

 

I'm kinda in the same boat that you are.....I'm a JMM fan since his youthful up and coming days.
Its been a very frustrating experience knowing how good and talented Marquez was and is, but having trouble landing fights of significance because of just how good a technical fighter he is.

Having said that, I'm also an admirer of Manny Pacquiao.
I go to great lenghths and try to refrain myself of diminishing Pac's accomplishments.....and no doubt he's accomplished great things in boxing......but when you have posters like PacDbest, Johnco, Domngo, and a few others severely overrating Pac's fine accomplishments and at the same time berating that of JMM's ......its quite difficult not to put the full record for their display, and sometimes that means criticizing Pac's recent opposition.
.....you hate to do that, but sometimes these Pac fanatics in their glee, leave you no choice but to bring them back down to a semi-concious form of reality!
