Kessler has met Haussler in Germany.

He has met Mundine in Australia when Mundine was ranked no. 3 in the Ring.

He met Calzaghe who is ranked higher historically than anyone Froch has met (at home or abroad)

And he has met Ward in Oakland, while Froch met Ward outside of Ward's home state.

Froch also did not meet a hometown fighter when he fought Abraham because it happened in Finland which is neutral ground.

So very comparable the times they have fought on the other guys turf.... If we absolutely want someone to have the edge it has to be Kessler since he has had the biggest fights (European all-time record spectators in Cardiff) against the best fighters abroad (e.g. Calzaghe).

 

Yes Froch has done well for himself considering his limitations.

I already pointed out that he had met Haussler on the road in Germany, but he stopped him inside 3 rounds and it was clearly a mis-match, I'd hardly even call it a risk.

Yes he met Mundine in Australia but how far do you have to go back for that? 05-06?? How many fights has he had on home turf compared to Froch since then?

He fought away from home against Ward, which Froch also did so that point is moot.

Calzaghe fight broke records in Cardiff, what is your point exactly? If the fight was to be made at Nottingham Forests football ground in the summer they could easily fill that stadium out, no problem at all.

Abraham wasn't a hometown fighter, so what? Why is that favourable for Kessler to say yeah you should come to Denmark, Froch was still on the road.

The fact is, Carl Froch has been on the road CONSTANTLY in nearly every fight over the last few years, against CONSISTENTLY higher opposition than Kessler, its that simple. Froch went to Denmark when he was the champion, Kessler should come to Nottingham or London for the re-match, its that simple. Beating Brian Magee for a phony version of the WBA title doesnt give him champion status in my eyes.

 

Please don't compare Froch to Hopkins. Benard lands punches, Froch best scoring blow was a body slam.

Froch even said after the fight he had to resort to rabbit punches because Dirrell was too slick.

Dirrell made some tactical mistakes being a young fighter but he won, boxing is hit and not get hit. How you go about that is immaterial. Only one fighter was doing the stanky leg in that fight.

 

completely irrelevant, whether kessler fought away from home years ago. He fought away from home, just as much as froch.

The reason the cobra has had to travel, isnt just because he wanted to, but because he couldnt get a tv-deal, so he had too in order to make some dollar. Still baffled that he isnt a huge draw, great character and exciting fighter. Kessler was never in that position, he was doing fine before going to australia, cardiff and oakland.

 

Well he's been to 4 different countries. How many has Ward been to? How many Americans full stop have done that?
