Why does Khan always try to pay his opponent peanuts?

see my above post, we know he offered him this much, but why fight now when he can get 1.3 mil for another oppenent then another offer from Khan later, makes sense right?

 

Bradley was offered 50/50 in US and UK. That is actually generous. Khan didn't have to give him 50/50 in UK.

Lamont Peterson was offered $300K which he rejected and then was offered like $25k in his next fight. His loss.

Judah fought on ESPN, then HBO with Mathysse (Got a pathetic rating of 700k live viewers), and then some independent PPV. Judah just made like 50-100K in his last fight and now he wants 50/50 with Khan? If Khan doesn't fight him he will still make over a $1 mill. Can we say the same for Judah if he goes and fights someone else? No. So now you know who brings what to the table.

Team Khan are hard to negotiate with but it isn't entirely true that they lowball others. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

 

Khan always seems extremely concerned about how much money his opponent is getting. Every time he fights there is always about a month of this bollocks.

 

Peanuts ? do you realize that 40 percent of the cut will provide Judah with his biggest payday in recent years by like 10 fold. What planet are you living on man ? Judah doesn't draw for ****, Amir does .. He deserves the lions share .

HBO guaranteed Bradley $1.2m for next fight not $1.3m, thats 100k man.

Khan's 1st offer was $1.3m to Bradley.

 

The offer to Bradley was actually $1.4M, not $1.3M, and with the 50/50 PPV, he could have been making in excess of $2M+ in total.

Stupid stupid move by Bradley.

Khan doesn't need to chase Judah. He can go fight Guerrero and get his money. Could Judah do the same? No.

 

Irregardlessly, you guys are missing the point of my post, I'm not here to argue about 1.3 or 1.4 mil, and I am not talking about Khans offer to Bradley, I am talking about HBO's contract with Bradley to pay him 1.2 or 1.3(whatever the **** it is I don't care) for his next fight after Alexander. That means even if Khan offered him 1.4 and 50% of U.K. ppv why would he take it if he could fight another fighter on HBO for 1.2 mil and THEN FIGHT KHAN FOR THE 1.4MIL AND HALF THE U.K. PPV, THAT MEANS HE WOULD GET MORE MONEY, this is the reason why he didn't take the fight, it makes perfect financial sense, he didn't ***** out, he didn't duck anyone, the man is first and foremost going to take care of his family and get paid because he is the man at 140 right now.

 

Guerrero's a dangerous fighter, if I was Khan i would be worried if I had to get in the ring with him, he's young, hungry and dangerous. Time will tell if he's got the strength to fight at 140.

 

Which begs the question.......if Bradley knew about this HBO deal all along, then why on earth did he wait until the very last minute to reject the Khan fight? Why continue pushing the notion that Khan is the one running scared? Why pretend like he wanted Khan so badly next? Why act like he was even willing to come to England to face him in April? Why do all that bull**** talking, to then reject the fight right towards the end?

For this reason, my respect for Bradley went down a notch or two for not keeping true to his word, regardless of his reasons of taking advantage of the 1.2 million deal. He deserves the criticism that comes his way.

 

even if the fight isn't going to happen you still have to hype it some more. Another problem is see for Bradley though is what if Khan moves up to 147, I would be surprised if Bradley follows him, he's not gonna wait around much longer, the only problem is there is not many fights at 147 left anymore after pac cleaned out the divison.

 

Khan will move to 147, but he's wanting to do so after settling things at 140. You get the impression that Khan really wanted to become the number one guy in this division; hence the reason why he tried so hard to make it happen.
