Why does Khan fade as the fight progresses?

I noticed that Khan tires in the second half of his fights. He looks sharp and by the seventh round he begins to lose form and becomes easier to hit. Though I believe he beat Peterson he looked like a fighter without any hunger or desire to answer Peterson's late rally with anything other than running.
He appears to be vulnerable in the body and unable to fight at a high pace.

Overall I am thinking that Amir is far from elite and that Ariza's impact on fighters is overrated.

When you can't beat Lamont Peterson you are not and never will be an Elite Fighter. Not taking anything from Peterson but can you imagine PBF or Pacquiao struggling with him? Nope.

Khan is a Glass Jawed coddled Fraud.

Which fights do you mean? he was controlling a worn out maidana when he got tagged with the big punch, I didnt feel he was fading at all in there.
Only vs peterson who applied relentless pressure, I think khans conditioning can use improvement but it isnt bad.

His stamina doesn't even look to bad to me against Maidana and Peterson they were piling on the pressure from the first bell to the last, ive seen worse conditioning.

He got knocked the **** out, and that was before he joined roach and ariza.
He doesnt have calzaghe stamina but he isnt exactly taylor either.
Maybe more like martinez who needs to drop a few rounds in his fights so that he wont gas out in the end.

    This. :deal

He's not a relaxed enough in the ring, he doesn't know how to coast, he's either in full attack mode or in full retreat. He doesn't know how to take a breather.

Peterson was able time his attacks, allowed Khan to do this thing early on in rounds knowing he couldn't compete but as soon as Khan tired in the last minute then stepped on the gas to win the round. It's predictable and easy to take advantage off. Khan just isn't a very smart fighter, talented yes but any intelligence he shows in the ring come from Roach.

I'm English, Khan was born not too far from me, so there's no bias... but I don't reckon he's that good. I had Maidana up in that fight.

As for the Roach connection, Khan needs to leave him. Nacho or Nazim...

    Just my call....

His style is a mix/stuck between amateur and pro. He wastes too much energy because of this. I don't think he fades badly, but he does fade ever so slightly.

Because fighter A is constantly trying to maintain a certain distance against fighter B in order to let his punches go. That is fighter A's style. He needs distance. Fighter B likes to fight on the inside and pressure his opponent. That formula will ALWAYS get fighter A more tired than fighter B. I don't know if that makes sense, I am hung over.
