Why does Khan only fight twice a year?

    Twice a year for a boxer thats 25 and in his prime is too less, considering he's only done 4 rounds this whole year, he must have some very good outside the ring business so their is no rush to be active, should box atleast 3 times a year.

    He'll have 3 fights in a 12 month period, so it's technically a year.

    Yeah but everytime you will be using the last fight as the third to the previous cycle and the first to the next cycle,

    but really he only fights twice per calender year, almost always in December and spring/summer.

    he fights more often than that. It's just currently, he's coming off of 2 losses and a change of trainers. Plus his rematch with Peterson got canceled and he had to fight Garcia at a later date

    He normally likes to fight three times a year - like he did in 2011.

    This year and 2010 were interrupted with slight mismanagement and cancellations/losses.

    He been fightin good fighters ranked in his division, so 2 fights a yr for Khan is just fine by me.

    Well, twice this year, twice in 2010, but he did fight three times in 2011.
