What is it about Khan coming out trying to steam roll fighers? He done it last night against a PROVEN puncher with a 90% KO on his reseme. Does he just not listen to his corner? Are his corner not telling him anything? Or do they just believe he is THAT good? Whatever happened last night all i know is that Amir Khan went steaming in with a proven puncher and tried to trade with him from the opening bell instead of sizing his opponent up. You would have thought after 18/19 fights he might have learnt something?
But surely to god he must have seen this guys record and had some kind of gameplan? I dunno maybe it was purely down to his chin, even that stiff jab rocked him!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1hLX9j1gEg I mean even if you look at the fight, Prescott must have caught Khan with at most 4 clean punches? and he was completely off it. But he does for definate stand and trade doesnt he?
it's all a conspiracy by rubio- he is still loyal to breidis and suggested this fight to warren feeding him bull**** claiming that khan could take him no problem because he's tarined both and thinks khan is so superior so warren made the fight and then rubio told khan he could easily knock prescott out in 1 round and to go get him right away with bombs flying resulting in a surefire loss, and now he'll be going back to training breidis prescott now that he's made a name for him and now that he'll have some good paydays ahead of him. hahaha just playin but imagine that ****!
Good question and better than these countless threads about his "glass" chin. More than the glass chin what I noticed about Khan before this fight was his utter recklessness. Sure they gave his fights great finishes but he often jumped in when it was not necessary. Maybe its his youth but this kid should have used Prescott for training to fight a puncher and winning on points, something he was fully capable of doing, even a late round knockout. But I have no idea why a fighter with Khan's skill level jumps in headfirst like that. Leaves me puzzled. :huh
Except for the fact that Khan fought the EXACT same way in his debut fight, before he had knocked out anyone.
Khan was agressive, nothing wrong with that. But his chin is made from downy feathers, so it was a bad move. There are many fighters who could have done the same thing, and with a chin made of at least plate glass they could have made it past the first minute, perhaps even finished the round. Khan though has a chin of a bady bird, and was ****ing Destroyed like a hot knife through soft butter.
I argue that its his age and inexperience. Most fighters would have taken a bit longer to get up from the first kd and kept their distance until they recovered. Running or not, many fighters have come back from hellish kds to win the fight later. ****, most fighters would have created distance the first time they felt that hard pop from Prescott's jab that obviously shook Khan up.
