why does Lennox Lewis and Anthony joshua have beef

i just read that they dont get along well

can someone explain

 

Don't quote me on this, but I remember hearing that Lewis wanted to take Joshua under his wing when he was first going to turn pro after the Olympics. Joshua signed with Hearn instead. Though I don't think that is any reason to have a beef. I think what likely caused it was Lewis aligned himself with the American networks and resultantly kept making critical remarks of Joshua and siding with the PBC fighter, Wilder, when negotiations were breaking down over undisputed.

I seem to remember Lewis going in on Joshua saying that he should give Wilder 50-50 to make the Undisputed fight. Then Joshua bit back publicly calling him a clown, etc.

I know nothing about it, but I certainly hope it's true. LL could totally come out of retirement and whup AJ given the proper motivation. No exhibition. Real fight for a belt. LL tryna follow in the footsteps of the current Grand Old Man of Heavyweight Boxing, Big George Foreman. And I don't even like LL.

 

Because Lewis talk crap about Anthony. As someone write above he work for American Tv and he spread falsehoods about Joshua ducking Fury and Wilder... Even when Wilder himself admit that he dont take better, perfect offer from DAZN.
And he never talk anything good about Joshua. Only critic voice.
He probably was just jealous. Not because Joshua is better (because he is not) but because all hype and love Joshua have in UK.

Lennox is a very prideful egotistical man even in retirement and would happily tell a new gen fighter he'd beat them and even square up to them. This kind of attitude riles up useless bullies who can't handle critism like AJ.

Most typical people drop the ego and humble themselves like Foreman, Mike etc etc once they retire.

Even Fury had his tats with Lennox but they made up after Fury made Lennox hold his water bottle post Wlad.

Lennox is entitled to his opinions though regardless of how they come off.

 

Fury isn't good enough top carry Lewis' jockstrap, let alone his trousers.... You try too hard dude.

 

Also AJ has made more money than him.

 

AJ is not that type of bloke and he would not do that as in sleep with married women. I know Amir Khan came out with that crap when in reality AJ had never even met his wife. I suspect what happened is that in jest Amir Khan’s wife might have said to him how handsome that AJ fellow is and what a great body he has etc. She may even have asked Amir to pretend he was AJ when they were making love as sometimes couples may do in the privacy of their bedroom as people have their kinky fantasies. When they split up she may have said she will go after a bigger, richer and more successful boxer in AJ. She could have said Floyd but said AJ which made Amir who had been cheating on her feel more inadequate especially as he like Tyson Fury have a complex that AJ is physically well endowed which is a genetic trait from where we come from.
