Mayweather should recieve more $$$$ if he has to meet at a catchweight tho.

Fact: Pacquiao sold more PPVs than Mayweather. Manny had 10 PPVs with a total of 5.6M sales while Floyd had only 6 PPVs with 5.5 M buys. Check your facts first before you make assumptions.

Excellent post. You have to give the greater fighter some weight. Its not like hes not selling PPVs himself.

PAC is the greater fighter Legacy wise 50% is fair

:goodPlus, what has Floyd done lately? Pacquiao single handedly promoting boxing for the last 2 yrs, with exciting and entertaining performances. If Floyd is the DRAW, why his PPV#s declining? vs DLH 2.4mil+, vs HATTON 1.4mil+, vs JMM 1.050m+.

Actually, the question should be reversed. Does FLOYD deserve a 50-50 split? Does he have a title to bait? Did he have a FAIR, EXCITING performance in his last fight? :hat

Financially Floyd simply does better numbers. However, based on Pacquiao's recent form and the historic nature of this fight with "former" pound for pound leader versus "current" pound for pound leader, the global reach of the event, etc., 50/50 is fair. Lets have it.

Someone in another forum posted a very interesting statistic regarding Pac and Mayweather's PPV numbers before and after their fights against De La Hoya.

The stat compared Mayweather's 3 highest selling PPV's prior to his fight with Oscar (Gatti, Baldomir, Judah) to Pac's 3 (JMM2, Diaz, Barrera2) which reveals that Pac's accumulated numbers were better.

The same is true for the accumulated numbers after the De La Hoya fights which include Hatton and JMM for Mayweather and Hatton and Cotto for Pac.

    .................................................................................................

Another side note I'd like to add is Pac's PPV success while fighting in the lower weights. If I'm not mistaken his second fight with JMM broke the PPV record for fighters weighing at or below the SFW limit. It's impressive considering that casual fans typically don't pay much attention to the lower weight classes; ie how many PPV's did Floyd ever sell while fighting at SFW which was his best weight?

PAC now is a superstar, if he fought JMM or DLH now he would bring in PPV like Floyd
