50-50 is whats fair but If I was Pac I would give Floyd 51% to get the fight made and Floyd can still keep his ego about making the most money.

    esb stop haggling.
i think uncle jeff mayweather is close enough a source. he, also states it plainly enough. "if either guy wants more than 50%, the fight can't happen.".
mayweathers camp is closer than close. family. jeff doesn't speak for floyd, but if anyone could, he'd be near the top of a short list.
that brings us to the pacquiao side. facts. a conversation with pacman on the matter will lead to being deffered to arum. the most recent words from arum were that he would not discuss the negotiations, except those that are concerning choice of venue.
well folks. how rare would it be for the negotiators to begin decision making about a venue without first nailing down take or pay?
taking also what jeff said about knowing that time is of the essence, i predict that in a sugar ray robinson like fashion, the man for whom the p4p idea was conceived, a man who in the last year of his boxing career faught 9 times, this fight will happen sooner than later.

    ...No.

Pacquiao fought De La Hoya a short time ago and his numbers were trounced by Floyd's with De La Hoya.

Pacquiao is far hotter and the one with the title. If anyone deserves more, the answer seems clear to me.

Floyd seem so sure of an easy win, they should go for winner takes all. I'm sure Pac would go for that. :D

I said before 60-40 Floyd, but now, I think 50-50 is just fair.

FAIL...VS HATTON DID 920K...FLOYD WOULDN'T HAVE DONE 1 MILLION WITH JMM IN DECEMBER 2007...HE DID MORE IN HIS PREVIOUS FIGHT WITH 1M AGAINST A MUCH LESS KNOWN OPPONENET....HOW ARE HIS NUMBERS DECLINING IF HE IS CONSISTENTLY PULLING IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF NUMBERS...IF YOU LOOK AT OSCARS NUMBERS THEY ARE ALSO PRETTY CONSISTENT...THE OSCAR-FLOYD FIGHT ONLY HELPS FLOYD IT DONT HURT HIM...

FACT PAC DID 1.4 MILLION WITH OSCAR

FACT- FLOYD 2.4 MILLION WITH OSCAR AND THE EVENT WAS MUCH BIGGER

GET UR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE U POST AND YOU'LL GET MORE RESPECT ..:deal

Assuming this is true, it's very interesting. Like so many things, depending on how you want to add them up, you can get the answer you want.

    - comparing Floyd/JMM to Pac/JMM is apples/oranges. If you can't see that, there's nothing that can be said to convince you.

    - the Oscar and Hatton fights have some comparison points but the biggest factor, to me, has to do with personalites: Floyd was the villian for his 2 fights; the Pac fights didn't have a villian (Floyd Sr a bit). This does make a difference - Haye is trying to do it, too, but he doesn't have the resume & talent that Floyd does to do it near as well.

    The argument:
    - Floyd brings the proven villain angle (proven in ppv sense), the aura of unbeaten, undeniable skill level; does NOT bring promise of excitement, benefits greatly from a "loved" opponent to play against
    - Pac brings biggest "hero" factor in boxing (arguably in years), the aura of his quick & impressive weight jumps, undeniable excitement of style; does NOT bring promotional excitement

Conclude: you can cut ppv numbers to favour either guy (though Floyd still has an edge here in my mind) but it's how 2 fighters complement each other that makes a big event. Neither will ever find the hero/villain + potential ATG status they have in the other.

How is this not a 50/50 fight? And the fight must be set at 147.

as it should, because that was pacs coming out party to the general american public. while floyd is a US born american citizen who fought all his life in american soil.

this is why using De La Hoya as a measurement for both does not hold water.

Pac got the momentum and is on the upswing. Just read several articles. He is known as the man who saved boxing trouncing UFC. Other reasons as follows:

    - Likely Ring Mag Fighter of the Decade
    - 3x Fighter of the Year
    - Time Mag Cover - Nov 2009
    - Most Influential People - Time Aug 2009
    - WBO Welterweight Belt
    - Nike with top people in sports
    - Face of Boxing
    - Fought men bigger than him
    - Most exciting fighter
    - Outsold Floyd in recent PPV
    - Showed up in national TV on Kimmel
    - Sings Sometimes when we Cry. Song went #3 then next day on Billboard 100.

Pac is selling himself that's why he is now more popular than Floyd.

Here's Pac and Floyd performance before and after De La Hoya.

the soul reason he is #1 P4P not Mayweather and while PBF has been retired Pacman has given us some great fights.

    Its that simple.

PBF may get more viewers but its only because 70% of people who buy his fights want to see him KTFO.
