Why collect small sanctioning fees from two fighters when you can collect a big sanctioning fee from Mayweather in addition to the smaller sanctioning fees from two fighters? Of course Mayweather holds all the leverage in that scenario, therefore if he wants Spence to fight for a title, he can essentially pay for Spence to get that shot.

It isn't right at all. But it is reality.

the sport is not clean. he is generating a lot of money for the sport. until such time that a legit governing body regulates the entire sport, this is expected even beyond floyd.

Because he can...its unfortunate but thats the real answer. Its not just floyd, the top fighters (including pac, lets not forget the chris hat trick) are all guilty of this.

I know far more then you pal. You think it's feasible to do Froch v Ward at Wembley with Ward's massive fan base.:lol:

He can't though. Guarantee when he thought he'd give up his WBO title, he didn't assume two Top Rank guys would fight for it. Hence he hasn't given it up yet.

This is actually one dumb post!! congratz!! HE can do whatever he wants , sure , but he cant "sell" his belts to whoever he wants , i dont give a **** who he is , Errol should earn his title shot the hard way , in the ring , you will probably side with him even if he decided to HAND OVER his titles to whoever he wants , right ?

Boxing is not structured like it used to be and titles do not carry as much weight as they used to. I think that Lomachenko fought for a title too soon but he proved worthy and I think that Spence is worthy also. A fight between him and Thurman would be a great matchup. Floyd has just as much pull as Bob Arum and if Bob can get his fighter a quick title shot, why can't Floyd? I don't think Floyd is trying to sell the belt but rather influence who fights for it and his influence carries weight.
