Why does Mike Tyson not get any criticism for his PED useage ?

I thought he did that to hide recreational drug use not performance enhancers. Not doubting he was on PED's but he was never caught to my knowledge or admitted to such.

He didn't take PEDs, just Marijuana.

 

I can't understand why we should be vilifying anyone for taking PEDs,isn't a given at this high level?
Not saying it's right but I don't feel the need to believe my fav boxers are clean in a sport known for it,oddly enough re PEDs I don't believe they've improved stamina that much as I can't imagine modern day boxers doing fifteen rounds?

 

I believe that era were possibly roided to the eye*****, but the testing was so poor then.

The whizzer was to cover up weed and coke, according to Mike. He never mentions taking PEDs in his autobiography, except where he complains about Holyfield doing it, and Golota's or Botha's bacne, I forget which.

I go back and forth, but I think guys back then were mostly clean, given how you would see them tire in the later rounds. It's the guys who don't tire I'm suspicious of.

 

Allegedly, Mike's urine shenanigans were occasionally done to conceal his use of cocaine and marijuana. He himself admitted this.

Unlike some pro HW fighters, I don't think he (Tyson) was on any PEDS. His training & nutrition regimen was quite impressive, pre-88.
