:think why is it this guy gets so much credit for looking good in losing to Calzaghe, hes talented fighter but he hasnt done **** recently and it seems most people are rating him for his ability and the fact he looked good in losing.

I've seem to wonder the same thing myself....He beats everybody in the 168 division without having to even fight them (according to some) Not saying he's not good but he needs to start fighting worthy opponents instead of these no-names mando's....IMO he's very overrated (sorry but thats just how I feel about him)

It's true that he didn't do **** recently but it's easy to see that Kessler is a top fighter. He totally outboxed the tough Andrade who gave hell to Bute. He fought a close fight against Calzaghe, who is a top notch fighter who "won" against Hopkins.

Putting his belts on the line against a great fighter in his back yard in fron of 50 thousand hostile fans, and fighting a great, close fight against an arch strategist who refused to quite yield? Yeah, why give him any credit at all?

yeah I'm surprised his name comes up so much on this board. He's an excellent fighter but his inactivity is ridiculous

    It's his promoters fault.
I hear calzaghe promotions maybe looking to sign him.

Kessler is caucasian handsome, some esb fans have some homosexual tendendcies.

Im caucasian but dont exhibit them...i know what kessler is an extremely one dimensional fighter who has faced guys at the right time/average shot champs.

for me hes the tommy morrison of the supermiddle division.

Calzaghe fans also like to give Kessler credit as it was Joe biggest fight of his 21 defenses....says alot about the quality of his opposition doesnt it?

He's a strong, skilled boxer who stays sharp throughout the entire fight. He seems to have a good chin and he puts on a good show.

But his inactivity is ridiculous. I don't know if it's a management thing or what, but if he wants to be taken seriously he really, really needs to step it up and make his mark.

there's only so much you came blame on management. I know that management teams and promoters are crooks and only out to make a buck for themselves BUT it's always been like that, since the days of Blinky when the mob ran boxing. In the end, if you want fights bad enough, you'll get them made. Kessler isn't doing nearly enough to get **** moving.

He's looked good in all his fights. Calzaghe was a very good boxer and I think he's mentioned because he looks a decent boxer who we haven't got to see lately.
