Why does Mosley get a pass for turning down a Mayweather fight for family reasons?

Mayweather called out both Shane AND DLH. There's a difference between retiring when your division is the best in boxing and you've FINALLY made it as a top PPV player, and deferring a fight to your boss. Your over simplification of the situations no doubt confuses you.

So it doesn't look like GBP is strong arming one of their fighters into not taking his highest payday of his career. :deal If Shaef and Oscar did ask mosley to step down, then actually they would never go public with that information.

 

Not neccesarily. But what is more credible, all of their stories, or the stories of people who were not even involved in the situation who are making up theories based off of nothing but assumptions? I'm guessing you'll never criticize a fighter anymore based off the word of anyone being that this is your stance? For instance, no way could you criticize Mayweather for allegedly turning down $8 mill to fight Margo considering we having nothing to go on but someone's word.

 

The truth is GBP was in the position to lose ALOT of money if Mosley beat Floyd and ruined a chance for the huge fight with Oscar and Floyd.

That's a possibility, but Oscar waffled for months before finally deciding to fight Floyd. Most people don't know that Floyd and Oscar were supposed to fight in Sept. of 2006. However, after Oscar beat Mayorga he wasn't sure if he really wanted to fight Floyd or continue fighting period. He even tried to rematch Tito. You have to remember that Floyd had never even broken 400k buys before fighting Oscar. They knew the fight could be big, but not that big. It would seem to be pretty senseless for Oscar to instuct Shane to turn down a fight with Floyd at a time when Oscar wasn't even sure he wanted to fight Floyd.

 

Floyd acknowledged the offer from Arum first off. And I never say NEVER.
I don't see **** in black and white. Stupid point to try and make. I just know better then to believe much that comes from Golden Boy based on PRIOR history.
