Why does no one call out GoldenBoy on their hypocrisy?

I wrote a piece about this on another site, and I'm kinda irritated that nobody even talks about this in all the many articles that are out there dealing with the Manny/Floyd negotiations pertaining to the drug testing.

Now, without taking either side on this, why is it that NOBODY brings this up to Oscar and Schaefer and ask them why they're being flaming hypocrites?

You can read the entire piece HERE but the basics are this:

    1. When Zab Judah was going to fight Shane Mosley back about two/three years ago, Judah demanded Shane take a blood test, due to his admission that he took PED's prior to the DLH fight.

Shane agreed to do this, but Golden Boy refused, with Schaefer stating the following quote: "We are not going to do other tests than the Nevada commission requires. The fact is Shane is not a cheater and he does not need to be treated like one."

So here you have Golden Boy defending Shane against a non GBP fighter, saying that not only is Shane NOT a cheater and shouldn't be treated like one, but that "we are not going to do other tests than the Nevada commission requires."

    2. Now you have Floyd (promoted by GBP) demanding Manny to take a blood test, and suddenly Golden Boy's faith in NSAC is devastated and they suddenly want something more. Something that they summarily dismissed the idea of just two years ago.

And I asked in that piece, that while Shane was allowed to take the tests for the Floyd fight, I wonder if Floyd was NOT repped by GBP would they allow it? And what does it say about GBP that they refused back then to allow Shane to do it, but now they're all for it? The only thing that's changed is Floyd.

I've only seen two other place even address this (The Scene, and Seconds Out) but everyone else seems to be **** scared to upset GBP lest they lose their credentials and access or something.

Damn disgraceful. This isn't about who's side you're on as far as the drug testing, it's all about inconsistency and outrageous hypocrisy on Golden Boy's part.

And the fact that they're now big enough to where no one dares ask them about it, is shameful.

Agreed. Problem is, a lot of boxing fans have a short memory.

If I'm not mistaken, the OSDT is Floyd's idea. He's not a GBP fighter. What GBP did in the past in regards to more stringent drug testing is irrelevant to Mayweather's request.

It does when GBP (Oscar/Schaefer) are now reversing their position on NSAC and saying that if Manny has nothing to hide, to take the test.

    And they are promoting Floyd.

Not only that they haven't demanded testing in any of the other fights they have promoted recently like Haye v Ruiz.

Only fights that will involve Floyd.

Because the money to gain from Pac-Floyd is about 20000000 times more than Judah-Mosley

HBO is like a family de moffia. via their strong arm (GB) they have absolute total power and control over boxing in the US, Don King and Arum days are limited. HBO will be the new boss, same as the old boss,

I realize that, but I just find it funny that they're now talking about how they wanna clean up boxing, and make it safe, and how NSAC isn't good enough to test, and Oscar's talking all this **** about how Manny's punches were super hard (even though after the fight he said they weren't) but before they refused to take any test that wasn't sanctioned by NSAC, and said that Shane wasn't a cheater and shouldn't be treated like one.

lol. I like Shane and all but come on now...

There is something very fishy going on about FMJ and GBP.

Mayweather Sr lauched the PED rumor because Hatton lost in a humiliating way to Pacquiao. Nothing new here since Mayweather Sr has a big ego.

Then Pacquiao demolished Cotto. Malignaggi starts to spread the rumor too in order to get a shot at Pacquiao. That's is still undestandable.

But FMJ started to join the heated debate by stating something like: "the Philippines are known to produce the best PEDs on the planet"!!! Where did he get the info from?

And why would he spread this rumor without any evidences? He probably wasn't ready to fight Pacquiao (despite all the pressure) because he needed another tune-up fight. Very understandable since Pacquiao at welterweight is a much more dangerous opponent than JMM.

So with the help of GBP, FMJ used delaying tactics and the PED testing was there to provide an honorable exit, knowing perfectly that Pacquiao will refuse any compromise (Pacquiao has an ego too).

The only thing i don't understand is: why did GBP followed FMJ in this PED testing affair when themselves refused additional testing in the past?

The answer probably lies in this video:
