Why does no one ever talk about Juan Manuel Marquez is a one dimensional fighter?

Would have been much more significant if he had knocked out the fighter of the decade. Pacquiao was not the fighter of the decade when he was knocked out. In fact Marquez had 2 cracks at the fighter of the 2000s decade and could not knock him out.

That doesnt mean the win is meaningless. But some perspective is needed.

    Fair points.
TBF though, you can also say the same for Pac, that after all those fights he still can't fully figure out JMM.
Unlike some idiots here, I actually do acknowledge that even the last fight was a toss up before the KO happened, and as a matter of fact, hadn't Pac lunged into that monster of a punch, I was confident he would KO JMM on the next round or so.
This is what is great about the Pac-JMM quadrilogy. It was f*cking awesome. Fireworks each time.
And JMM, after being given multiple chances, pussed out when it was his time to give a rematch. Man I hated his guts at the time.
Couldn't say the same for Pac vs Morales trilogy, and Pac vs MAB x2.
Really can't help but use Pac as a measuring stick here, because I honestly believe Morales and MAB's accomplishments outside of Pac are greater than JMM's. But as I've said, Pac is Pac. I consider a win over him an astronomical achievement, kinda like defeating Mayweather regardless of his age.

My memory is a bit hazy on this one, but wasn't Pac still top 5 of the P4P rankings at the time KTFO6 happened?

Don't see why he wouldn't be.

Mine at the time would be

    1. Floyd Mayweather
    2. Andre Ward
    3. Manny Pacquiao
    4. Sergio Martinez
    5. Nonito Donaire

What a foolish assessment of a style.

The Pacquiao victory over Thurman has given Pacs fans life. But why knock Marquez style when that's one of Pacs biggest victories!!!??? I could easily say that Pac can't box against pure boxers, but I'd sound stupid.

Manny is way better than Morales and Marquez and has accomplished things they could only dream of.

Pac hasn't dominated pure boxers. That's my point.

What pure boxers did he fight in his prime that he didnt dominate?

And Marquez is not a pure boxer. He cant lead.

Barrera is more pure boxer than Marquez.

Neither of them are pure boxers except Floyd and that was years past his prime.

I said name me one mover that Pac didnt dominate in his prime.

Marquez is not a mover or pure boxer. Pac eats boxers for breakfast.

This is foolish! He's one dimensional because he struggled against boxers. By that logic, Pac is one dimensional because he got knocked out by a counter puncher, Mayweather is one dimensional because he struggled against brawlers.
