Morales 1 - Just lost to Barrera 5 months before.
Morales 2 - Just lost every round nearly to Raheem.
Morales 3 - Raped by Pacquiao in the rematch.
Larios - Coming off a 3rd round TKO loss to Israel Vasquez.
Barrera 2 - Coming off a loss to Marquez.

Not to mention he fought Hector Velasquez a complete journeymen as a tuneup when Morales had a tough fight vs Raheem.

Yet hes still worshipped as some guy who fights only the toughest avaliable fight avaible :huh

He's taking tough fights for the most part (Marquez, Barrera, Morales), but Barrera and Morales are past their primes. After he beats Barrera (which I think he will), he NEEDS to go after young guns like Soto, Valero, Guzman and he has to rematch Juan Manuel Marquez. Once Barrera and Morales are done, Pacquiao will have no other option and then we will see some great fights.

I made a topic about that a few months back. Pac-man is one if not the most over-rated fighters going today. None of his wins are that impressive when you think about what the best fighters that he faced were doing at the time that he fought them. Not to mention that he did actaully lose to Morelas and should have lost to Marquez.

Pac-man like so many other powerpunchers get much more credit then he should. perfect example is Ding-a-ling, everyone seems to forget that he was being pretty much outclassed in all but two rounds of that fight friday night, by a fringe contender if you would even call Nwodo that. Then boom, now all of a sudden he can beat Mormeck, and Bell in the same night.

But to answer your question, Pac is being put in big money fights, with fighters that are either really not that good or well past their best days. For whatever reason he gets a pass were other fighters get bashed. In the eyes of many they see nothing wrong with Pac fighting guys that lost the fight going in, or old guys or both. Then those same guys that defend him will bash another fighter for doing the same thing. Thing about Pac is he really isnt that good of a fighter, his fans want us to overlook the fact that he has several times had his ass handed to him, they make excuse after excuse.

Why would Pac fight a guy like Valero, Guzman, or Soto when he can fight a guy he already completely dominated 4 years ago for the same amount of money and less risk?

Unfortunately thats the business side of boxing.

I cant really blame the fighter who really put their health of the line for our enjoyment, to take more of a risk when in actuallity he'd be getting more money fighting MAB than he would a younger more dangerous 130 pounder.

I wish it were different and the very best fought the very best, but this is the business of boxing, where everyone involved wants to make a buck!

After the Solis fight, Pacquiao came out and said he wanted Marquez, then after Soto beat his Bobby Pacquiao, he said he wanted Soto ... But his reason for fighting Barrera is simple, with this new Top Rank - Golden Boy business relationship, of course their first co-promoted fight has to be between their marquee stars ... Even after his loss to Marquez, Barrera is still Golden Boy's biggest name (other than Hopkins, DeLaHoya and Mosley).

    :good:good:good:good:good simple as that...

cause the guys coming off a lose are named Marco Antonio Barerra and Erik Morales! Who at that weight class wouldnt want a fight with Erik and MAB at the time PAC fought them? Fights with them brings the money....

i really dont want PAC to fight Barrera next, i'd rather see him with JMM. But what can we do? The only thing fans can do is post about it in internet boxing forums!!!:yep:yep:yep
