"Although their first fight was contracted at the middleweight limit of 160 pounds, the rematch, which will be for Martinez's world title, is contracted at a catch weight of 157 pounds, which is what Williams weighed for the first fight; Martinez came in at 159.
"It's at 157 because we didn't have a choice," DiBella said. "Williams wanted the catch weight. There was an issue on the weight and we gave on the weight.""

So PW wants his last weight as the catchweight.
Is he really trying to drain 2 lb. from Martinez?

    :huh:nut

Williams is a fraud and gets battered again. He gets worse every fight and this will be no difference.

its a combination of a couple things. one, paul had to eat like horse just to get to that weight the last time. two, sergio came into the fight with kelly looking every bit the 168 he was on fight night. i'm sure that wasnt lost on williams camp.

this should be no surprise. both men have had success both at mw and below but if either of these two isnt a real mw its paul.

that is not a defense by any means...just an observation.

I see the winner of this fight facing Manny Pacquiao in 2011 now that Floyd's next fight(s) will be against prison butt rapists.

because he's seen how effective Pac was against weight-drained Morales, Cotto, Oscar, so he wants it to work for him.

Pauls afraid of a real legit challenge right now.

I don't get the catchweight either in which sucks and i'm a Williams fan. Atleast Martinez won't be moving down in weight for the first time in 8 years.

Losing respect for Williams if this turns out to be true.

His new nickname should be a "The Punisher*"

So if Williams beat Martinez in the rematch is cause of the catchweight? The last time Martinez fought at 154 pounds is over a year ago. Had Martinez ever killed himself to make weight at junior middleweight?

This is starting to get realllllllllllllllllllll stupid. There should be a no catchweight rule, and fighters must fight a minimum of twice per year. They originally had 8 but added 9 weight classes. What more do these ***gets want?
