So where exactly is the part here that Arum is ****ing Pac? Pac's the guy spending all the money in a frivolous manner. That said, that guaranteed purse is pretty low. I thought he got much more than that in his previous fights. But those numbers don't contain the percentage that a fighter gets with the PPV, right?

And Money's money percentage is inflated, because obviously, he's his own promoter. If you cut down all the expenses that you would pay a promoter for the job they did for you, he'd probably make the same amount of money Pacquiao does.

Because guaranteed purse =/= PPV percentage money.

And if that's the case, Manny should be making upwards of 10 million in a lot of those fights. His fights are also priced cheaper.

But looking at it, I'd still say Manny's in a better financial situation than Money is in. (Coz' that's what this thread is subtly about, amirite?) He has multiple businesses. He gets paid as a politician. He's more active. And this is with him giving a lot of it away to charity and that hospital he has back at the Phils.

don't know the numbers for all the fights, but it was reported that Pac made over 12 million against Hatton, over 22 million against Cotto, 12 million against Clottey and around 25 million against Margarito, and over 25 million against Mosley.

so yea if he is spending all his money, then it's his own fault.

Um Floyd pays people to promote his fights(Golden Boy).

Guaranteed money really has nothing to do with what a guy ends up making. Just because Pac has a lower guarantee doesn't mean ****.

Pac's problem is his ridiculous entourage that keeps growing, it costs a shitload to support them all. It's got nothing to do with Arum despite what a lot of idiots believe.

He doesn't pay them a lot, because of one reason: he fights another promoter's fighters most of the time, so he's mostly riding on the promotion costs of the guy that he's fighting rather than on the money he's making.

Basically speaking, he's pushing all the promotion costs on the percentage of money that his opponent is going to make when they fight. That is the reason the money he takes in is inflated. He basically pays no promotion costs on his side.

I agree about the entourage, but if you think about what Pac makes and how he spends his money on his entourage, he still has way more money to spend than he's spending. Especially since boxing is not his only business.

Roach has a role and its not his business manager anymore. He once had a larger role in that when PAC first came to the US but Roach makes sure he knows where the lines are.

Look at it from Freddie's point of view. PAC has endorsement deals out the ass...he's making more money than anyone else in the sport...he's got numerous business ventures outside of boxing, plus he's a congressman. Not to mention he's got numerous poroperites and assests to boot.

With all that said he is apparently living outside his means like so many other boxers before him who have tasted success. I don't buy for one second that PAC is BROKE like he's not eating or he's not going to have a home to live in.... I just think Roach knows PAC's got a lot of people who he is far to kind and generous for his own good.

worst ******ed argument I've ever seen when it comes to Top Rank being bad for Pac. So its TR's fault that Pac spends like a mad man.

    Seriously?:patsch

At the moment pacquiao is at his prime and is going through fights without taking much punishment. When pacquaio starts taking punishment, then roach will leave him like he trained and left Tyson.

Why would roach leave pacquiao now when pacquiao still has much to offer?
