Why does Ruben Guerrero want his son to stand toe 2 toe and take punishment?

From the sound of this video from Ruben after the fight, it appears that Ruben Guerrero doesn't mind his son getting his head beat in. He said they expected Floyd to stand toe 2 toe.

Shouldn't the trainer who just so happens to be the fighters father want his fighter/son to minimize the chances of getting hit repeatedly during a fight?? Just saying....

Because that(and God) were his only chances against Floyd.

I don't even know how to justify this video.. I have so many questions..

If your sons so good why didn't he cut off the ring?
Should you have sent Floyd a game plan of how you wanted him to fight so that Robert could win?
Isn't the goal in boxing to hit and not get hit?
If the answer to the above question is yes then what kind of boxing are you talking about in the video?

so you dont know how to cut off the ring?dont know how to fight mobile fighters.really and you are suppose to be a world class trainer with a world class fighter? So all a fighter has to do is move and robert will lose?

This video is mind-boggling? He never seen Floyd fight before? I take it that they didn't watch any tapes on Floyd and was relying on GOD to work it out for him in the ring.

Sometimes yes but not always....depends on the particular fighters at hand.
