i think it's because everyone knew floyd/dlh was going to happen...including shane. he had recently signed with gbp before the "duck" and did that out of respect to oscar.

I remember people saying Floyd didn't have enough pop to keep Gatti off.
I recall people saying Buddy Mcgirt was training Gatti to beat on Floyd's arms.

I remember writers and trainers saying Gatti had learned to box and would win.

Because Shane the cheater is a likable guy. But he was ducking Floyd until he had nothing to lose.

Because the majority of people like Mosley more than Floyd.

    No other reason.

    Hypocrite fans exist in boxing.

Only difference is, Manny AND Floyd were both at their primes when the fight talks began, AND Manny was never officially caught using anything illegal (not saying he doesn't, I am certain all pro boxers use PED's). Shane was closer to the end of his career and Floyd was an up and coming star then.

Correct. Floyd beating Gatti had more to do with the business side. Its who HBO wanted and it gave Floyd the opportunity of PPV.

After that beat down is when Arum put Cotto in protective custody. (Not by Cotto's choice.)

Actually, Cotto said he declined an offer in 2006 to fight Floyd because "we weren't ready for him then. We are ready for him now." -Cotto interview before Mayweather/Cotto 2012.

Not a duck. Mosley had a toothache. Mosley's tooth is the source of his power. That's why the call him "Sugar" Shane Mosley, which is short for "Sugar tooth" Shane Mosley. It's like Samson but instead of the hair it's that tooth.
