Marciano got knocked down with much less trouble than Vitali. Why does his name always get mentioned as one of the top 5 ATG chins.
Mariusz Wach was a true punching bag against Povetkin and Wlad, and never went down despite being bombed by artillery.
Marciano took a hell of a lot of punishment and kept coming forward. He was put down by two awkward counter punchers which was his weakness. He was never hurt in his career either. Also, Chuvalo took a beating from prime Foreman and didn't go down once. I would say he is definitely a contender for greatest chin in heavyweight history. And he definitely didn't go down against Bonavena. Everyone can see he was off balance.
There was once this guy named Oliver McCall. I don't think Old Archie Moore or Old Jersey Joe would knock him down.
why the fcuk you writing "does anyone really doub"t? why u need to imagine you got an army of people backing up your view for? if you are that confident in it, your own view should be enough! if they are hit flush without being able to use their bodies to defend, they are both getting koed. in terms of the chin being hit directly without using any other form of defence (even height etc ruled out), they are both similar and will react smilarly.
Good post Arreola says Murat is the hardest puncher he faced. Murat Gassiev punches like an animal. He's from Abels camp. He could KO supers I'm sure.
He says in a boxing fight it is Vitali but in sparring he says Murat and he goes on to emphasize Murats power extensively whereas he mentions Vitali and says Stiverne hit him hard as well. Pretty much Murat hit harder.
