If you like. I'm not "getting at" anything. There is no hidden meaning. The questions are the questions. They have simple, straightforwards answers for the most part.
Now see when you say **** like "for the most part" that gets me asking what you are getting at. It's those little phrases that you add on the end. Trying to be sneaky or something. I don't like being set up. Converse on an even playing field not asking me trick questions. He beats Tunney at 6'5" 245 lbs. That's all I'm saying. I haven't seen Lewis fight at 6' 190 lbs.
This is astonishing paranoia. OK, here's an even easier one. Lennox Lewis is a heavyweight champion at the extreme end size-wise. Do you think that his size makes him: a) a better heavyweight generally than he would have been at 6'0? b) a worse heavyweight generally than he would have been at 6'0? c) there would be no meaningful difference in his quality at heavyweight if he was 6'0? Which of these do you think most closely describes your position?
If you are talking about during his reign as heavyweight champion and who he fought in the 1990s/2000s then I would go with option a because his style suited him. He is the best super heavy of all time for a reason. His style could not have worked with a 6' 190 lbs version. That is why I have been confused by your questions. If he was 6' 190 lbs or just 6' in general he would not be able to fight that way. In essence he would be a completely different fighter, the only similarity let would be the name.
I retract my statement about Lewis beating Dempsey. At 6' he would not have been able to implement his style against Dempsey. Dempsey ko 1
There was no reason for your confusion. The answer you've given is correct and probably the only answer that could be reasonably defended. It is fair then to say that Lewis's unusual size makes him a better heavyweight, then.
This is a hell of a turn around. We've gone from Dempsey perhaps "not being able to land a punch" to knocking Little Lewis out in under three minutes. But i commend you for your change of heart because, again, it's the only reasonable answer. Lewis's diminished size would make him a less dangerous heavyweight.
Not at all, Just curious to get your views as I got a little lost in mine trying to string together that question. You saw what I was saying though, so that's cool.
