For the sake of argument lets say he fights at heavyweight. At Cruiserweight there is clearly no man who could hang with him. Not even close really.

Usyk could turn out to be an ATG fighter. As could Fury and Joshua.

Outside of those 3 I see no one to favour over him were he to compete in a given division.

Come on now, leave this 6oz myth out. The smaller gloves would benefit any fighter wanting a quick stoppage.

It favours the one who lands first and more often.

Would rather take a punch off Joshua wearing small gloves, or would you rather take a punch off Joshua wearing big gloves?

Does Nikolai Valuev beat any of the following:

    Lennox Lewis
    Muhammad Ali
    George Foreman
    Wladmir Klitschko
    Joe Louis
    Larry Holmes

Valuev has the equivalent of over 5 weight classes on these guys. He has height over all of them. And on top of that, he can box.
Yet, I'm assuming most people would say that he loses.

Weight disparity seems to make a greater impact the lower you go. Which makes sense.

No way would I want to take a punch off any pro fighter wearing 6oz gloves. 10oz hurts plenty!

With 6oz it really favours who lands first a whole lot more. A knockout punch from a 190 guy will do the job on anyone if it lands clean enough.

    Dempsey and Louis proved this.

what you dont understand about boxing is if one punch knockout leaves a man comatose for two whole minutes after a count like say ingo was against patterson or braddock was against louis or walcott was against marciano then you must understand the same punch is more than good enough to count out a much bigger guy too! even if he was out for only half as long. in boxing you only need a ten second count.

so either way, whatever joshua hits me with i am going to hospital. if im out for one minute or two minutes its still longer than necessary no matter what size glove he uses.

with world class guys what matters is how often you land clean. with 6oz gloves the guy landing more who has the higher work rate has a fighting chance, yes he gets knocked out if the other man lands too but the little guy can land three to one. put bigger gloves on him and it halves the little mans chances. with big gloves the big man still has his size only hes harder to hit clean.

So would you rather be hit by Joshua wearing 6oz or Joshua wearing 10oz.

No **** Sherlock but I know who I'd rather take a punch of with smaller gloves in Dempsey and Joshua.

You don't half talk some rubbish, so now Dempsey is guaranteed to land 3 before a Lennox Lewis or an Anthony Joshua land one...... Ok
