Dempsey was the least to blame for not fighting Wills? LOL thanks for the laugh. You are delusional if you think Dempsey didn't duck Wills

The photo of Firpo and Dempsey facing off in the center of the ring shows Firpo to be significantly taller than 6'2.5 especially when comparing a photo of Dempsey next to Ali who was a full 6'3".

It's old in respect to fighters who start fighting at 18 years old. Willard didn't start until he was nearly 30. You know this, don't deny it because it doesn't help your agenda.

I never said he was in his prime. His best was against Johnson. I consider him past his best but not so much that he should be considered an easy knock over.

Fulton wasn't a beanpole, he weighed in the 220s at times. Do you deny this? Do I really have to pull up the facts for you?

Morris was considered a top fighter of the era. Try again.

Athletic? There are a number of positive descriptors that you could use to describe Bowe but athletic is not one. You're talking so far out of your ass right now its amazing. You don't even look at the fighters your talking about but just use words like "athletic", "skilled", and "powerful" to describe Bowe.

You've got so many contradictions it's hilarious. Wills was around 2 inches taller than Firpo, who is listed as 6'2.5, going off of pictures of them side by side in the ring. Wills weighed less than Fulton but was almost the same in height yet you describe Fulton as a beanpole and Wills as a big man?

    Get your story right bruv

To repeat a famous quote:"It's not the size of the dog in the fight....it's the size of the fight in the dog!!!"

Lot of nonsense being currently spouted .Firpo at 6'2.5"was actually half an inch taller than Wills.
Wills weighed 217lbs for the Firpo fight ,214.5lbs for Weinert,214.5lbs for Uzcudun.
Fulton was 210lbs for Wills who weighed204lbs
Fulton was 208lbs for Dempsey, and Fred usually scaled about the same Wills did, this is an irrefutable fact.

Fulton certainly looks like a stringbean here.
Even at age 32 ,against Jack Renault Fulton only weighed 210lbs,which for 6'4.5" is not heavy at all

Why do you hate Jack Dempsey so much? It is so obvious. You go on and on. On and on. On and on. Like a stalker.

You have zero credibility left after you said Joe Louis was 6'3" and Firpo was 6'4"

Bowe was a big time athlete compared to the likes of 37 year old Willard and Firpo that we have seen on film!

I don't hate him. I think he was massively overrated because he never fought Wills and only defended against Harry Greb leftovers. When he faced his first live opponent, Tunney, he got easily outclassed. Dempsey also avoided a fight with langford in 1916 due to fear of losing, and ran out of the ring against jeanette in 1918. He never fought another black man after John Lester Johnson broke his ribs.

Dempsey hid behind the color line as much as any white champion in history!

I said Joe Louis was 6'2"-6'3" meaning he compared with the likes of Ali and Foreman in terms of height. Nice try grasping at straws. Now that you've waved the white flag on your argument feel free to **** off.

    Btw Firpo was 6'4. http://static.boxrec.com/thumb/6/6a/Dempsey_Firpo_BE053601.jpg/300px-Dempsey_Firpo_BE053601.jpg

A clear 2.5+ inches taller than Dempsey.

I don't care if he was a big time athlete compared to Rosie O'Donnell. The man wasn't athletic. He had slow feet and wasn't explosive.

Then why the hell is Wills taller? https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/...ose-for-a-portrait-before-picture-id614384992

Once again you are wrong. Reliable sources have Louis at 6'1.5" and Firpo at 6'2.5" deal with it

Again, your wrong. For his size, Bowe was a very athletic big man. Not explosive? Tell that to holyfield, who was blasted with fast explosive punches out of nowhere by Bowe
