see this is something i never understand how the ABC's are seen as more legit i mean they are newer (apart from wba) then the rings one, they have a pretty bad track record

What makes a magazine any worse than a sanctioning body? The title in a weight division should be "the man who beats the man" and thats what The Ring try to do when awarding their title. Thats more than the WBC/WBA/IBF / WBO do......

how do you no that? How is Saul Alvarez a top 10 in the Welterweight division? How comes Juan Manuel Marquez didn't defend his title for a year but nothing was done about it?

Does that matter? Is it better to install a random bull**** champ?

all the Ring need to do to make there title legitimate is add mandators. Just say that to remain as Ring Champion you have to defend your title against at least one top 5 ranked fighter within a 365 day period or the title becomes vacant again.

hbo was the main reason for khan/maidana,Bradley/Alexander.The other two were fights between the number one and two in the ring rankings.GBP have no employees on the ratings board and have shown no influence so far.mandos are often corrupted like solis/vitali, martinez/zbik, also there is alot of discrepancy between them how long has berto dodged his. i didn't say belts are owned by promoters but that they show bias towards certain promoters and fighters,

they wouldnt have installed a random bull**** champion. Marquez would have been dropped to no.1 and to become champion he would have to fight the number 2 contender which was Katsidis. That fight eventually happened but only because the WBO mandated it. Nothing to do with the ring.

by their rules a fighter has a year to organize a fight so marquez was ok.saul is rated number 10 at jmw which isn't mad.

If it wasn't for Maidana being Khan's mandatory there is no way he would have fought him.

the fact that this was the biggest payday available to marquez has more to do with it then the wbo

Ok so if the Ring magazine are beyond corruption and there rankings are so much better than everyone elses why would them ordering mandatorys be an issue. They would be ordering the Champion to fight the no.1 ranked fighter in a division. Whats wrong with that?

Wladamir Klitscko would be forced to fight David Haye.
Jean Pascal would be forced to rematch Bernard Hopkins.
Sergio Martinez and Felix Sturm would have to fight
    Marquez vs Acosta

all these fights would happen if the Ring forced mandatories.

The WBA were the main reason. Khan vs Maidana was going to purse bids the day after a deal was agreed. Dawson vs Pascal, Katsidis vs Marquez were down to the WBC and WBO. HBO would have bought other fights involving all those guys.

he is also no.10 at welterweight. ranked at two weights???

Marquez didn't have a fight at Lightweight for a year and he came back against a fighter that has been at Light Welter and lost twice??
