I'm in Cali. I have Charter and get Sho-E. When did you cancel your subscription?

When they say 'tape-delayed on the West Coast' they mean on the main Showtime channel. If the fight is scheduled for 9pm EST it will be aired at 9pm PST as well.
But it's carried live on Sho-E.
I have never missed a live boxing match (be it Showtime or HBO) because I live on the West Coast.

Afterall, Darchinyan vs. Arce is taking place in L.A. - shutting out the live feed for the West Coast makes as much sense as tape-delaying a nationally televised Dodger game where the rest of the nation gets to see it 3 hours before Cali residents.

That's a channel in your Showtime package.
You don't just have one Showtime channel, do you?
Sho-E is an early broadcast channel. It's timed for the East Coast.
But it's available to any Showtime subscriber.

Well, then go kick it with your auntie tonight, lil' homie.

Yeah, it costs a little more, but not much.
If you don't want to miss any live fights it's worth it.

 no way, she's gonna pay extra to watch a live boxing match. I guess I could try watching it at the sportsbooks in Vegas. I'm HOPING they carry this thing live. I know all the HBO ones are live and are usually shown.

    No, kid, you misunderstand.
If you order the entire Showtime package it costs you a little extra - but the fight itself doesn't cost extra.

Yeah, the sportsbooks will have it on - but I can almost guarantee that it will be on your auntie's tv.
And she won't have to pay anything for it. It's not like PPV.

I do not doubt she has Sho-E on her cable. Call her up and inquire.

Well, until they invent a voice-operated tv... it sounds like auntie will continue to struggle.

    Good luck, home skillet.
