    How about the entire contract?

    Serious question, I don't know.

Well if they planned on getting 1 million per fight, which is a lot, they got that in just the Canelo and Pac fights.. Everything else is just extra.. If they thought they'll get 1.5 to 2 million for the 6 fights, their crazy and deserve to lose money...

Mayweather Berto was a bust for Mayweathers credibility.

Why? After Cotto-Guerrero-Canelo-Maidana x2-Pacquiao he didn't have the right to go out with a relative soft touch in the form of a top 15 welter coming off a solid interim title win?

That's the effect when you choose a less caliber fighter regardless
if it gains profit or not just to protect your no-loss record.

Yes he did. But it shows that he could never carry huge PPV numbers without Mexican/Hispanic style fighting opponents.:D

I think Mayweather thought Maidana was the soft touch in the middle of that run of fights. Maidana beat Broner and looked good doing it but not many gave him a chance. Mayweather never thought Maidana would push him that much.

Also I think after the Pacquiao fight was such a let down and Mayweather got so much negative press for his performance you would think Mayweather himself would have wanted to go out with a bigger bang.

There were better fights out there for him to go out on, he claims to be the best ever then he should have gone out like it.

Just my opinion, I am not saying Mayweather isn't talented of a great boxer but he has left himself open to criticism at the timing of these fights and Berto as his final opponent.

Wasn't Guerrero, in total honesty...a soft touch himself?

Eh, not quite like an Ortiz. In hindsight yes because he was so comprehensively outclassed but heading in a lot of people thought he could bother Mayweather simply because he was a strong welterweight (despite having fought Yordan just a few years earlier...Guerrero did lots of weight hopping in a hurry) and southpaw.

Weakest of that run of five by far but still better than Berto (himself a solid opponent by anyone's standards that isn't being held up to lofty expectations like Mayweather)

That makes no sense. An actor can get 20 million for a movie but if it's a bust at the box office, it is regardless of how much said actor was paid.

He will ALWAYS get $32 because HE IS THE PROMOTER.

HIS BACKERS got the raw end of it because his last fight did nearly FIVE MILLION and this one did not even HALF A MILLION.

    Do you understand now?

because it was a failure and the biggest bust in boxing ppv history in terms of ppv buys.
