[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1R9EVc9hUrw[/ame] They said Baldomire could beat Floyd.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjZnc4sQKaY[/ame] Bert Sugar flip flops and had the fight a toss up with with maybe Marquez beating Floyd and then after Floyd wins, we all know what Bert says.
When he beats Manny they will say Manny was not the same bc of the drug testing and that he was distracted and Floyd waited on him to decline or some stupid ****. :thumbsup

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TP1ViM8Qrn8[/ame] By the way Conte explains why boxing needs better testing. Hell Floyd should be tested right now along with Mosley, and Manny.

Everybody hates floyd because he is a annoying little ******* that often is accused of ducking and cherrypicking thats why they discredit his wins.
    Especially at 147 on:Lets take a look,
Mitchell: first fight at welter, easy win, no complaints there.
zab judah: lost to baldomir but still a good win for floyd.
Baldomir:beltholder that beat judah, not a good fighter boring performance, still average.
People want him to fight cotto/marg/mosley/pwill etc.
De la hoya: good win, maybe his best win because it was his first performance at 154 he did ok, allthough the fight was boring and oscar was over the hill floyd did good and won therefore no complaints.
Hatton: still want him to fight a guy like margarito or cotto, but ow well hatton wanted floyd and moved up floyd tko'd him so that was a good win as well.
Marquez: after a long lay off making marquez come up 2 divisions and that catchweight stuff then claiming its a good win because of him being number 2 p4p was bull****, marquez didnt belong there and was totally outmatched.
Mosley: cornered into the fight after the haiti drama made berto vs mosey fell trough. Mosley looked like **** but floyd schooled him for 11 rounds, therefore his eprformance was good and the win was decent.

So its basically that he didnt fight williams, margarito, cotto, younger mosley, pacquiao at this point in welter that he is to blame for.
From his wins I only don't like baldomire and marquez the rest at 147is good.
He only has himself to blame for this. Also he is trying very hard to minimize risks as he doing with pacquiao now so therefore if he afterwards gets critisized its logical.

To be fair Baldo was the linear champ at welterweight at the time.

Well Bob Arum did say that Floyd wanted 10 million for Hatton and Cotto and that he would only guarantee him 7 million and Floyd wanted 2 million for Oscar and Bob said no. So Floyd bought out his contract and made more than 15 million for Hatton and more than 20 million for Oscar. Arum didn't want to put Cotto in with Floyd.

Floyd beat the nr 2 welterweigh and that was Judah who lost to Baldomir and Floyd took care of Baldomir as well.

Thats not good enough for the media. He fought the champ instead of the unknown guy who got beat by Williams.

The Williams match would have ended like Corrales.
Every time Pacquiao or Mayweather fight they will lose in a lot of peoples eyes but after they win the excuses come rolling in.

I'm not sure about that and unfortunately we'll never know.

As for the media making excuses; I'm not sure who seriously thought Baldomir would actually win, if anything it seemed like they only wanted him to win because its a classic Rocky story. Myself as well as most others picked Mayweather to win easily, although the performance was horribly boring to watch.

The Marquez fight was pretty obvious too. Mayweather was better in every category besides activity and possibly chin (which would not be an issue in this fight).

with floyd's style its easy and record its easy to favour him in all fantasy match up, thing is though when you have a guy that has height and reach on him that pressures him with volumepunches a counterpuncher would have a hard time, I think he would have had his hands full with williams and margarito back then. If pacquiao had a reach advantage I would favour him for sure, same way I favour martinez right now and think khan will have a good shot in 2012. People might disagree and thats fine, mayweather is a genius in the ring but for a lot years now ist always coulda shoulda woulda and for all kind of reasons he didnt fought the best available. I wish he had just fought everyone and maybe picked up 1/2 losses.
