It's good to see Transnational have Carlos Takam in their rankings at #5. The Ring is stupid to leave him out after he beat Thompson (and he should have had the win against Perez, who they rank). Doesn't make sense after Perez lost to Jennings and Takam beat Thompson (who was Ring #10) for The Ring to have Perez there and not Takam. Ring heavyweight rankings C Wladimir Klitschko 1. Takam beat Perez and should be ranked, but Wilder should not be ranked in the top 30.....................
Perez has a couple interesting victories. Nice one over Magomed (all due respect). More than Takam, I'd say.
Taking the tragic events afterwards away, are you saying teh Mago fight wasnt an absolute war and incredibly fan friendly?
Takam deserved to win over Perez. Since then, Takam beat Tony Thompson, and Perez lost to Jennings. Takem is set to fight Povetkin in a couple of weeks and Perez is still not scheduled.
And Perez is now inactive after his loss to Jennings, while Carlos "Road Warrior" Takam is going to Moscow to fight the best Russian heavyweight.
What a bull****. Not even a year ago, they said the heavyweight division was back alive after Perez vs Abdusalamov.
