Short arms , short leverage and doesnt turn into the punch.

Its the classic example of a strong looking guy , but with average power.

Then you get someone like say Randall Bailey who looks pretty average , skinny legs not too big , but hits like a mule.

Berto and Clottey are others I can think of.

Its not a body building competition.

Hearns developed his power. He could always hit decently hard but check out his amateur record he was not a big banger. This could be because of the difference in technique needed to win an amateur fight and how you score well for just tapping. It wasnt untill he turned pro that he started using that right hand to bang mo' fo's out .

Maybe in the amatuers but as a pro Hearns could always punch. Hearns first 14 fights all ended within 3 rounds most by KO.

Bradley will never develop decent power and will certainly never punch like Hearns.

I know what Mayorga would say about Bradley's hands...

Because looking buff means nothing. Technique & the type of fibres those muscles are made of is more important.

I wuldnt say he has little power, I just think its his technique (as stated before, not following through or even sitting down on his punchers).

That and like others have said his technique. Maybe. It's obvious he can punch hard but I get a feeling he chooses not to for some reason.

Im thinking about it too. Before the Kotelnik fight i was planning on it.

Alexander does have a few things that can bother Bradley.

I mean Alexander was taking flush Urango hooks and shaking them off like they were nothing. If he can just brush off Bradleys punches then i think Alexander takes it.

Some good posts, interesting thread. I think it's all been said already, but it comes down to technique. If he worked with someone else to improve technique, I think he could become a more decent power-puncher. The question is, should he? He seems to be doing fine winning UDs.

hence the first half of my paragraph. And mr bradley with the muscles and body he has, the protien is more important than YOU think especially when he gets all the way down to 3% body fat OR LESS for a fight. YES protein IS IMPORTANT when your body is that torn down

bradley has hurt many opponents but i think his failure to get knockouts is due to a general lack of accuracy, and an inability to finish... he had lamont peterson and abregu staggered several times in their fights and could not put the accurate combinations together to stop them

but it should be pointed out that he looks better every time he fights... i wouldn't be surprised if he started putting some of these people away

    You racist ****! lol.

I think pitty patters just don't punch through and they probabaly don't close their fist tightly. I know for sure Paulie doesn't close his fist. You can see it in his fight pictures.

He's not a good finisher, and he slaps with his punches a lot. When he sits on his punches, he has decent power, but when he gets a guy hurt, he just flurries like crazy instead of trying to pick his spots and hurt his opponent worse.
