Why does Tyson Fury lie about his height? He's NOT 6ft 9.

Wlad was spooked by Fury and wore lifts as obviously as he had the ring filled with something from a game show. Wlad is also 6'6.5 and used to say he was 6'5 because he had too many people who didn't want to give away so much in range to him. Another thing is when I was in high school, we had a gym teacher named Patch Adams and when that movie came out with that name he started lying about himself in a bunch of weird ways that inflated his height, his reach, his income, everything. One day, he told our civics teacher, Mrs. Banta, that he was in Guiness for world's biggest foreskin and ear lobes. Then he drank sensuously out of her World's Greatest Grandma coffee mug. When Mrs. Banta retired later that year, she said it was due to sexual harassment. But as it turns out it wasn't from Mr. Adams. It was from Matilda Brinkley, our home economics instructor, who kept putting bananas in her purse. She actually married Mr. Adams one summer and we were all invited to a spaghetti and pizza party catered by, you guessed it, Mrs. Brinkley, the home economics instructor. Our town was full of crazies. Like Fury.

Everyone lies about their height. Especially in boxing.

 

I've been up close and personal with Mr Fury and he's as big as he claims both vertically and horizontally

 

I'm 6ft 8 , I have met Fury and I was taller than him.

 

Fury prob just went with 6’9” initially to sound bigger. He has, in more recent times admitted to 6’7”. I had an old boxing mag. that touted 21 yo, early career Foreman as being 6’5”!

Imo, Fury is 6’7 1/2” max and 6’7” min. In the ring with equal foot wear he is clearly taller than Wilder. Outside the ring while most others wear some degree of heel (Wlad went real hard) Fury often wears relatively flat soles/heels. Fury also hunches somewhat a lot of the time.

 

I voted 6'7.5
He definitely is not under 6'7 and certainly isn't 6'9

 

Literally every single male professional athlete exaggerates their height.

 

Fury must cheat about 5cm but he's not the only one.
Ruiz, Cooney, Jessie Vargas, Martin Bakole, Kambosos... are in the same situation.

 

The same reason why Whyte is listed at 6'4'' when he's 6'2.5" at most.

Vitali Klitschko is a genuine 6'7''.

 

Klitschko was wearing platform's in his shoes this came out. In the ring you could tell he was at least 3 inches taller.
