Why does Tyson Fury not get credit for beating an ATG heavyweight?

You make good points, but this one I have to argue with. Wlad bruises very easily, he basically gets massive swelling and even cuts by light jabs.

Check how young Wlad looked during the postfight interview after the fight against 44 year old Ray Mercer. Wlad won by TKO, barely took any punches but his face looked like he was beaten to a bloody pulp by the Ukrainian mob.

Even if Wlad wins the rematch vs. Fury, the faces will still speak a different language. Its probably genetics, Wlad has thin skin.

Is that why Holyfield never got any credit for accomplishing anything? Or Joe Frazier? Poor Christians, constantly being victimized by the people they are trying to force their backward agendas on 😢

He didn't do it in any style did he. Was like Portugal winning the euros with their anti football.

I think he gets credit, but I believe it was the perfect storm. His size, reach and talk fed on Wlad's very real belief that he has no chin and Fury could reach it.

Wlad truly believes he has a poor chin. I think its better than it used to be, but he hasnt faced anyone tall and long enough to take away his usual advanteges. He was afraid to throw.

I dont believe that "Fury's head movement confused Wlad and kept him from throwing " ****. Fury fed his fears during the lead up. Brilliant psychology and his size are what won an ugly fight for Fury.

If Wlad will just wade in and throw bombs, I think he has an 80% chance to KO Fury in the rematch. But he cant jab/clinch. Not against Fury. He has to let his hands go IMO.

How Wlad fights will determine the outcome. Fury's chin is mediocre too. Klitschko needs to make it a bombfest.

I give Fury credit for winning, but I dont think it neccesarily makes him great. I think it was right person/right place/right time.

    But, I could be wrong.

Sam Peter is nowhere near good enough to justify how Wlad did against him.

Maybe Wlad just wasn't very good from day one.

How many people picked Ali to beat Berbick in a rematch. How many people picked him to win the first fight?

    :deal

    Some people are morons.

Ali Bashir told Wlad he thought it was a 50/50 fight and he needed to be on his A game . And Wlad is never one to look past anybody.
He went 100% for Leapai. Fury could beat that guy on two days notice.

    He gets credit.

The problem is he barely beat a 40 year old man who did not even try to win.

A win but nothing heroic or worthy of mention.

He gets lots of credit for beating Wlad and ending his reign.

The only reason the fight isn't talked about much is that it was one of the most boring title fights in heavyweight history.
