Why does Wilder demand 50/50 when he olny gave 40/60 to Fury?!

In addition to asserting false information, the OP is overlooking the reality that there have been no legitimate Joshua discussions with Fury or Wilder in the past six months. As soon as they inked for the first fight and the rematch became fait accompli after the 12th round, that froze all possibility of working out a deal to fight Joshua.

Things won't get serious with Joshua until after the rematch. The winner will demand 50/50 and probably get it, or damn close to it.

 

He feels like he deserves an extra 10% for fighting Ortiz and another 10 for fighting Fury. Thats right, after 41 fights in a 10 year career in which he has been a champion for 4 and all he keeps doing is demanding credit and kudos for facing 2 people that are deemed decent.

But lets be honest he keeps making demands and when the demands are met the demands are changed, mostly for more money. Ducking technique thats been used many times in this sport. If AJ offers him 50 he will demand 60. AJ offers him a rematch in the US he will demand the 1st fight be in the US.

He dont want that fight, him and Finkel been running hard for over a year now doing all the things a ducker does.

 

Lol it's negotiation. By asking for 50-50, he can get them to agree to 60-40 or 65-35. If he asks for 60-40, they will try to get it to 70-30 or 75-25.

This is how business is done. Also if Wilder just gets offered a flat fee with no percentage of the PPV, he will not be motivated to hype or really sell the fight..

Where have you read that? The PPV money from the last fight wouldn’t have covered that.

 

60-40 is fair. Wilder is the champion, its Wilders belt, Wilder is the home fighter and has the peak viewing time. No matter how loud the Fury fans are in the stadium it will be Wilder fan heavy and the majority of PPV's will be coming from America. In this fight Wilder is a clear A side.

And im not ignoring the Linealship. Its a thing and the general view is its Fury. Im happy to roll with that. But as far as i can remember i have never seen the Lineal title put in the pot as a bargaining chip. It doesnt work like that.
