Tyson fans and RJJ fans are tied for having the most delusional and excuse making fanbase . Tyson never lived up to his potential and folded like a lawn chair every time he met adversity.

Why did deontay say that about Tyson ??????? Because deontay wilder is a narcasist!! And narcasists can’t stand when somebody takes the limelight off them !!! Fury / Parker and Zhang looses gave deontay a huge narcastic injury !!!

Wilder would probably have KO'd Tyson.
It hurts feels because people still have their Tyson poster on the wall and think he's amazing, despite just getting handled by Jake Paul, who spent his young adulthood not in Cus's house training to be a boxer, but making 'Youtube content'.

Wilder had more power and isn't such a quitter.

People think Wilder just falls over and doesn't get up if he gets hit by Tyson but he didn't when Ortiz countered him or Fury landed power shots round after round. Even if Tyson lands it's likely not just going to end.

Wilder would probably just keep away and hug for the first handful of rounds when Tyson was dynamic, then when Tyson started plodding forward, land a bomb or two.

There's always a chance but smart money would be on Tyson avoiding the right hand and demolishing Wilder in short order.

Tyson beat some decent fighters pre championship & cleaned out the division in his first reign. O.k it wasn't a stacked division but there were some good fighters in there. The problem is that by the time his level of competition was about to rise he went of the rails & into prison. The criteria for becoming an ATG has always been to meet & defeat other ATG's & Tyson just doesn't have that on his resume. Having said that Wilder is hardly in a position to point any fingers, if Tyson fought Wilder's level of comp he'd still be champion now.

Ruddock, Tubbs, Bruno, Holmes, Spinks, Berbick, Tucker etc are better than anyone Wilder beat outside of Ortiz and some of them were better than Ortiz too.

He's just telling the truth. Tyson didn't beat no one, and was in an extremely weak era. Mike Tyson is the most overrated boxer ever .

Wilder is a complete fraud. His career was carefully crafted and coddled to protect his extremely brittle Glass Jaw. Wilder would have 15 losses if he fought the line of guys Tyson fought. Someone like Razor Ruddock would have obliterated Wilder. Think about it.

Mike Tyson fought seven current or former Champions in his first thirty five fights before the WBO was even in existence. Tyson is still the youngest heavyweight champion at age twenty.

Tyson could not legally buy alcohol and was destroying fighters with a decade worth of experience over him.

During his run he fought in a weaker era than say the 70's or the 90's but he just obliterated everyone. He reminded us what a heavyweight champion should look and fight like. No socks, no robe, just walked to the ring and destroyed men. Destroyed... he didn't try to out point them, or hug them over tweleve rounds, he handled his business and went home.

That resume, his first thirty five fights combined with the historical young age make it better in my mind than the sum of its parts.

Now, post prison Tyson and his resume can't be excluded. For lack of a better word it was atrocious. Seldon, Mcneeley etc etc, losses back to back against Holyfield, NC against Golota...

Overall Tysons resume is a B.

Tyson may not have beaten the caliber of competition that Ali or Holyfield did but he certainly beat much better competition than Wilder. Tyson fought everyone available from 85-90 and did not duck anyone.

Wilder, on the other hand, was protected as hell. Never fought Joshua. Never fought Povetkin. Completely and utterly protected.

    Say what ?

Holyfield beat a better "caliber" of oppoments ? 1-2 vs Bowe....0-2 vs Lewis....1-1 vs Moorer ......1-1-1 vs Ruiz..............Holyfield lost more then he won................he beat a washed up Tyson who went a little over a half dozen rounds in five years, that is the only rack he can hang his hat on.

Tyson has a far better resume with clear cut results , was recognized the best fighter of the planet by the Ring as P4P Number 1

Today ? Grandpa Holyfield was knocked out by the very first punch landed in the first round by a bum.............Grandpa Tyson went the distance while eating flush shots by a Bum.
