Why would Wilder fight Whyte when Joshua/Parker hasn’t happened yet? Wtf

They weird agendas these guys push is nothing short of brainwashing imo. Literally would be happy to not see the biggest fight just to meet their agendas

OK ignoring the strong possibility of a rematch clause in the Joshua/Parker contract, Joshua and Wilder will want to be fully physically and mentally rested before even thinking about wrapping their hands in preparation for their showdown. Both will acknowledge that this fight above all others is the riskiest of their careers so far and that makes a July date against each other highly unlikely.

In that case an interim fight in July is more likely then a full six months before their fight in January which leaves plenty of time for a full rest, recovery and freshen up before entering a well planned and timed training camp.

Neither Wilder or Joshua will want a half cocked and rushed timeline going into this contest.

So Hearn is now controlling the WBC is he, it’s Hearn whose ranked Whyte at Nō1 in the WBC rankings and it’ll no doubt be Hearn who makes Whyte the WBCs mandatory challenger for Wilders Title.

why is July such a specific date? why not august?

what if hypothetical interim fights wind up tougher than expected do we have to wait 6 more months?

it's the only super fight in the division
