Has anybody noticed he hasn't been throwing it as much as he previously did? He was very reluctant to do so in the Povetkin fight, preferring the left hook. He did use it a bit more in the Pulev fight, but again, it was the left hook that he again favoured. And last night, he only brought it into play on select occasions. Why has he reduced the number of times he throws it? Has he damaged that hand or something?
Dominated with the jab. Too cautious and worried about overstretching and getting caught. waldo is waldo. If you want Elite power coupled with a vicious streak and superb boxing skills. You need to watch Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev.
Since Stewards passing he hasn't looked as sharp plus combined with his advanced age he is clearly slipping. His piston jab is gone and his right hand at times looks lazy compared to what it used to be.
Anymore? He last threw it with consistency in the early 2000s. He's been grabbing, jabbing and stinking the place out ever since he got with Steward, -getting knocked the fk out by Brewster.
His right hand lacks snap, it's not as quick off the mark and doesn't seem to be nearly as powerful as it was even a couple of fights ago.
He needs a stationary target to throw the right hand A lot of times he sets it up by sticking his left in the face of his opponent and holding him and then firing off the right The ref wasn't allowing him to do that and also because Jennings was showing pretty good defense Thats why he wasn't throwing his right hand in my opinion He basically said that Jennings wasn't giving him the opportunity to throw the right hand at the end of the fight
Smh Wlad doesn't throw alot of right hands ever since steward started as his trainer. This isn't new.
Only if he is fighting a static fighter, ala 'punching bag' He has 0 game plan wlad. Unlike his Brother... Now that is a HW!!!! Vitali. Wlad is a disgrace.
