Last week, my 4 year old asked me if Wladimir Klitschko was dead! I looked down and said "No, why did you ask me that?" He pointed up to the computer screen and your avatar was showing on there.

 Thats hilarious Widdow, he certainly looked dead after he was floored by Sanders that night. To his credit he did manage to get back up, it appeared like he was knocked out cold, judging by my avatar.

Yeah, he looked bad after the first knock down. He really should have taken his time in getting up and then either ran of clinched for his life. But instead, he tried to fight back while half asleep and got knocked down again. In the second round, he again failed to get on his bicycle and tried going after Sanders and as a result we all know what happened. But you have got to give him credit, he has learned a lot from that fight. Call him cautious now or hesitant, I don't think he cares, he is not getting caught and stopped like that again.

He should have clinched Sanders after the first knockdown, but I don't think he knew how. If i remember correctly, Freddie Roach, who trained Wlad for a short time after that fight, stated that he was shocked that Wlad didn't know how to tie up an opponent. He also was shocked at how bad Wlad's footwork was at that time. He remarked that part of the reason Wlad kept getting knocked down was his balance and footwork.

With the addition of Steward, he turned not only his whole fighting style around, but his career as well. Manny showed him how to cope with balance issues, as well as how to deal with pressure fighters and getting hurt by punches, before he tried to fight back, now he applies the boring jab and grab style to his arsenal, which has been proven to be very effective for him up to this point in his career.

I personally believe without Steward, he probably would of won alot of matches, but he also would of been layed out a few more times as well. To this day, I know he would of lost to Sam Peter back in 05 without Manny at his side, the 97 clinches helped him to recover from Peter's attack throughout the fight, and even when he panicked and was knocked down a few times, he was able to go back to to the jab and grab style that eventually won him the fight. Without that, he probably would of been knocked out by the 5th round against Peter IMO, Peter was just too powerful and had to good of a chin for Wlad to beat at that time.

I think he's balance was fine, before he got clocked! After the first knock down, he looked like a nerd trying to dance the Macarena. He never really recovered from that first knock down. I still to this day believe that the majority of that first knock down damage didn't come from the left hook Sanders threw, but from Sanders head crashing into Wlads at the same time from the opposite side. Basically, Wlads head got twisted and snapped at the same time.

I agree...most people didn't ask why he had a cut over his left brow if he got clocked by a left hook. I was just going by what Freddie Roach stated after he trained him. He also stated that Wlad was by far the hardest puncher he ever trained.
