The WBC loved Anthony Joshua. Joshua was rated #2 in the WBC ratings as early as the summer of 2015. The WBC president himself said he thought Wilder and Joshua would fight at the end of 2016. And the WBC president got stick from media for rating Joshua so highly. Sulaiman has always been a fan of Joshua's. https://www.*****.net/2015/07/07/wbc-president-explains-anthony-joshua-s-number-two-ranking/ Then Joshua decided to fight Charles Martin for the IBF belt, because Hearn thought it would be easier to win. (Which it was.) And Joshua hasn't been rated by the WBC since. These guys could've fought years ago. But Joshua went for belts that got stripped from Fury. Then when it looked like he was going to fight Wilder last year on Showtime PPV, Hearn had Joshua switch to DAZN which doesn't pay him more than he was making when he was fighting on Showtime, throwing up another roadblock and delaying it further. These Brits tend to go so far as to LEAVE THE WHOLE CHANNEL when it comes time to fight Wilder. The Wilder-Fury rematch was literally expected to be signed within hours, and Fury and Warren held a press conference and said they were RUNNING to ESPN ... because Fury needed more time and more tuneups to before getting back in the ring with Wilder. This isn't the early 20th Century. Wilder doesn't have to pull a Jack Johnson and chase these guys all over to try to get fights. He didn't go anywhere. They ran. Wilder has a title and huge fame. He doesn't need them.
the wbc sanctioned molina a top 50 fighter coming shortly off a loss v arreola then the wbc sanctioned duhaupus who was just beaten by erkan teper in a european title fight a few months before then the wbc sanctioned spizlka who recently had just been stopped by jennings then the wbc sanctioned arreola who was beat twice by stiverne and struggling with top 300 fighters like harper then sanctioned stiverne who had been beaten by wilder 3 years previous and had not trained properly since just like all ABCS promoters ask for a fight /fighter and they miracuously appear in abc top 15 rankings WBC/WBO/WBA/IBF THERE all one and the same.
The WBC top 10 is as close to the RING's top 10 ... moreso than any other org. After Breazeale, Wilder will have faced three of his current top four contenders - Luis Ortiz, Tyson Fury, Dominic Breazeale. Whyte and Kownacki, both also rated by Ring, round out the top five. One or both will be how he fills out 2019, if Joshua isn't around. Or if Joshua isn't fighting Tom Schwarz, or Otto Wallin, or Tyrone Sprong. (LOL)
i have no problem with wbc current top 15 miller is not in it . but i dont really rate miller that highly but surely miller should be rated above 5-0 serving a drug suspension tony yoka and having your number 3 ranked fighter as mandatory when your number 1 ranked fighter for 2 years has to wait is wbc strange wilder is stepping up i enjoyed the ortiz and /fury fights never heard of tyrone sprong TBH
Unification. I think. To be honest with you - I havent been following Usyks career so if he was someones mandatory whilst holding a belt, by all means correct me. I know the heavyweight division doesnt work that way.
usyk was wbo champ and then was in the cruiserweight tournament to unify all the belts and he beat gassiev to get all 4
